AEG was an awesome time, and without question launched my career. I highly recommend this to any student anywhere thinking of a career in hydrogeology, environmental geophysics or environmental chemistry. And hey, the town of Tübingen itself is without comparison in German provincial splendour, and the student life there is absolutely sublime.

There is a solid applied geophysics component, but it is mostly focussed on water and near surface environmental exploration. Tübingen does have a geophysics option, which may be more what you want (but last I was there this included courses in German).

Alexander Stoianov After AEG I did a PhD at ETH Zürich (Switzerland), and thereafter I was employed at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute, where I have been since, working on very exciting projects. Definitely AEG put me on a good path.
