I don’t want a menapausal hairdo just because I’m 70! Most of these are soooo short!
I agree. Most of these are NOT sexy styles. Men like hair. These remind me of those spiky bicycle helmets kids wear.
And some of these are obviously wigs
All of these are very short. Older women can wear longer hair too.

Had highlighted golden to medium blonde shoulder length hair for decades. Grew out my bright neon white color during 2020, then had it cut into a short layered pixie. I get compliments all the time! In my 60’s and love the new look.

My favorites were 1 and 14. As was mentioned earlier, those of us with fine, thin hair are challenged to find hairstyles that will work as we age.

I loved 8, 14, 15...16 your cuts were all beautiful I would love to have almost all of them but have very thick hair and have lopped it short several times in my life but since I’m kinda more a natural kinda of girl have mostly just left it long,(ha it’s easier lol) always clipped up or tied it up with itself in part braid, now I’m approaching 60, clipping it up now actually ages me. I’ve been coloring it I have very natural black 1-2 hair, that I now color up to a 3. As my grey is growing in more its mostly silver (or tinsel 🤷🏻♀️) & more on the left side. But your beautiful hair cuts have inspired me get rid of my hair clip and become the more youthful me I like to look. Thank you, your new follower.

I have had many short pixie haircuts over my time. In my opinion they are far more work to fix, style, maintain than just a 1 length bob. I don't have the energy to fix a short style anymore or $$$ to maintain the look.

My hair is fine and thinning. I can’t let it grow out and like short short hair. All of sudden I’m getting grief about it being to short and need to grow it out some. Then I can’t do anything with it. It white and will lay flat to my head if it gets to long and no body.
My hair was always super thick, coarse & curly. Now it's thinning at the crown. Doesn't look good if I grow it out. I like #2 except it's too short at the neck. I wish stylist didn't want to square off the neck. Not all older women want that look!
Margaret, it’s all about a great cut and the right product(s). I promise! I’ve got a super short layered pixie cut which would be a flat frizzy mess without the product I use. My hair is fine and thin, too, but you’d never know it now!
All these haricut look great when fresh from the salon, but go to the grocery store and see what they look like in real life. It's easier to have mid-length hair; not so much maintenance and more forgiving in styling.

Most of these (besides being ugly and appearing unkempt) require constant upkeep, sprays, teasing, etc. Look like you just woke up, didnt bother to even use a comb

I liked most of them, however, older many times means fine and thin hair. Your models all had very healthy hair which is not very realistic. #10&12 had fine hair but not thin. I would like to see "edgy" haircuts for women with fine and thin hair.

Adriana, exactly! Women with some type of Alopecia are never portrayed. Having low density on the top of the head is very challenging (to say the least😔).

Nr 18, But the problem is that all of these women have enviable thick and full hair - especially on the back of their heads. This means that all hairstyles are actually possible and look great. It would be an achievement to create beautiful hairstyles with fine and thin hair.

In real life many of these cuts are too harsh and set which is aging and old fashioned. Very popular in the UK in low income areas

Where are the older women that really need help? I'm talking about the over weight with too many chins and wrinkles. You know, real life people that look their age(78). I liked a lot of the hairdos but didn't see anything that resembled me. ( Over weight. Too many chins, wrinkles and not much neck. Gray hair with a little dark in it at times. Sometimes it looks like a lot of black in it and sometimes just a little. I don't know why it has black. My Mom had black but I had beautiful auburn hair all my life.) I need a hair cut and a good style that is easy to manage. Any suggestions?
Exactly! There might have been three or so ladies 50 plus the others were young and slim.. not realistic for an aging woman.

Many were Karens. My hair is long and medium thickness. How do you get that volume? Root perm, rollers? I think I'll keep my buns and ponytails, its easy and doesnt require management like that. Im 64 with a fringe like Chrissy Hyndes.
