13:09 => most realistic rambling i've ever heard on youtube.
I'm quiting my barman job at the end of the month to work full time on the woodworking company i've been building on the side for 3 years. This video comforted me on the approach i took and that i'm on the way to a good and fulfilling life. have a nice day sir.

Pretty good video. Can’t agree more with you. I have a degree in engineering so little finance knowledge and I got an advisor that talked me into a fund in 2011, but I realized it was not quite right 5 years ago, after a couple of years of performance checks. I’m now managing my own trading account and it was one of my best decisions in life. If you guys have the time, learn and take care of yourself, nobody out there will.

    This...
    Is...
Exactly what my colleague entrepreneur was talking about...
I used to be skeptic of him but after hearing from you say the exact same things, I was like... Wow.
Thanks for giving thousands and thousands of viewers the true entrepreneurs' perspective on finance.

Jack Bogle wrote a whole book explaining why you should buy index funds instead of mutual funds, and I have yet to see a good argument against the reasons he gave. It's simple math, if you're buying mutual funds you're getting ripped off.

That book's cover image is burnt into my mind.
I'm pretty sure I sold my Gameboy Colour copy of Link's Awakening many years ago, as a child. I remember being amazed at the price I was offered. I likely spent all that cash on Lego toys.
Just a few months ago, I purchased a digital version of Link's Awakening on 3DS for about 8$ (Canadian). I was able to replay it from memory. What a perfect game.

The way I understand it is that Mutual funds was a invention of the great depression. Basically investment money was low and needed so instead of selling shares they would set up multiple people together to mutually buy a stock.
Today mutual funds isn't that but a money pit that insures that banks get paid and that people who could invest directly in companies that they trust lose at minimum their management fees. I know many mutual fund advisers that just jump from company to company every 5 years to recollect the sales fee that they have to repositionnable people into new funds.
It's a large amount on big portfolios like 5% of the value of the entire portfolio for a "new" sell but when you are with a new company they are all "new" sales.

LMFAO at your Bit/Joke with that little tie sir :P , you're bloody hilarious mate! I always find your videos thoroughly entertaining and educational, it gives me a thirst to come back again and again, even when I disagree or don't understand. I love to learn new things all the time so Rudy, you can make something like a mutual fund entertaining to me/us.
You made me give a damn about something most of us are happy to be ignorant about lol, which occurs to me is potentially our/money lol. It's stupid isn't it?
I also lost it at your corn chip Bit in one of your latest videos when it started to get serious mate!
Thankyou Rudy you made my day.

back in college i was buying Nintendo DS modding em and selling the M3 cards, made more money this way than when i would graduate 7 years later from University.
Yeah, pretty much sold me on how the world works .
I endup with 100k in the bank account and a degree I lagged being, people laughting at me because i wasnt taking . Its all about perspective and if you have the entrepreneur vibe. I am a consultant, dsnt work that much, but i sell Leds and growing equipement. Funny how this words runs, going for engineering but selling shit on the web....

Rudy, what in your opinion is the best way to get to your first "buy in" to the world of finance as someone who is 100% new to everything. The best investments or price points or even just basic ideas behind anything.
Do I need 10 thousand dollars to start investing? Or should I start at 1000 somehow? Is there a way to start something while working these litteral floppy taco/sloppy burger pushing jobs that you suggest.
I know I probably won't get a reply, but if thos could be a topic you cover I would love to jump outside this "comfort" zone, as I know so many others would.

can someone answer a quick question? ( I apologize beforehand because this isn't about this video) I just posted here, because a lot of MTG smarts reside here and this is the newest video... You're videos are really good Rudy. I have been binging them.
When looking up prices on tcgplayer to sell cards when they are seriously in excellent condition - which price set do I use before trying to walk away with 50-65% of their value on eBay since I want to sell them? Market Price, Buylist Market or Median Price? I'm going to throw them up and want to set a smart reserve price.
Out of all my cards I collected from 2007-2011 I ended up with a decent stack of cards that range from 1-35 dollars. Like 2 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, 3 Cabal Coffers, 4 fetid heath, 4 Rugged prairie. Just looking for the right price to add up before I set a reserve price when I put all these cards on eBay since I don't play anymore at all.
I know selling individually is best, but I don't want to deal with all the shipping and everything lol. So I only got the ones that I looked up to see if they go for 1+ dollars.
