College is a place where some people give it their all. Other people just go for the min effier max result. Is this bad? No! We are also not complaining that nir everbody wants to be a pro soccer player. For some people college is just there so they can earn some money. Its not their goal to get straight a's. They just want to get a sufficient score so they have an income. I think this is overlookes and ignored by a lot of people. Some people's goals arent studying and studying and studying. Some people study so they can survive life
One thing I’ve noticed with my friends who have average grades is that those people tend to prioritize partying and hanging out and procrastinate studying.
I saw exactly the same. There was a strong correlation between to what extent a student would prioritize their studying, and their grades. Those that left their work until just before the deadline had far poorer grades than those that prioritized their work and completed it well before the deadline.
@abhishek not partying is just one aspect of it. You also need to be consistent with your studies. If you are not partying then you are wasting your time somewhere else. Find that leak which drains your results. And work to fix it.

I watched this video, 2 years back, when I was getting pretty average and bad grades for my pre-boards and was feeling really low. After watching this video, I was like go for it, work it out, grind and hustle and for my boards I got 92% 😇🙏🏼 I just wanna say please believe in yourself!!
Please don't say that...... We all go through tough times.... Just have faith in yourself...... Be wise, be kind ,work hard no matter what the distraction or temptation and above all remember that God Almighty is watching everything. Try to connect to your inner child.You'll feel better.Remember, you can't understand what courage is unless you experience fear.The same principle can be applied to joy and sorrow as well.So,whatever it is that's holding you back,confront it and let it know that you control your mind and not the situation. Where there is a will,there's a way.
If you're not careful though this could be path to a burnout. I agree to that it's important to work hard and study hard but if you work Monday through Sunday without rest, that's not good either. Science actually shows that rest and sleep is crucial for success. And also, I think that it's wrong portraying everything below the highest grades as failure. For some people, no matter how hard they try, that standard is not achievable. It's important to know that success and your self-worth is not only measured in grades.
I got a 5/30 in physics. After putting all my struggles to where they should be and my focuses to where they MUST BE. The outcome says it all. 30/30. FAILURE is not a Failure. Failure is only there to push you higher, to make you stronger so you can show your teachers, parents and friends. Prove them Wrong because nothing is impossible in life. Getting an A in life doesn't make you successful. It makes you feel good that what you have achieved and what others don't. An A doesn't pick u up and say hey lets do better next time it says lets party tonite and forget about school! Getting a B,C,D SHOUTS at you saying that you should do better next time. Put all your best into what you want to achieve in everything you have faith in. Don't let grades, friends, disappointment stop you. Its just there to push you even more. DONT GIVE UP PEOPLE! YOU'RE NOT ALONE ON THIS THE WORLD IS!
I got 2 out out 20 in maths in 6 std frm then I am practicing everyday and now I am getting 18 or17 out of 20 in maths . -one step to get out of average is- Just love what u are studing don't run in race of achieving marks run in race of achieving knowledge .do research on any topic you want to succeed .keep continuity .study smarter rather then harder. If You are reading my comment and you have to achieve gud marks I bet you to get your butt off and go to study after my comments end .I BET U. Only 5% of ppl will do this and some will think I will watch another video and then I'll go for studies but if you are that kind of ppl then u will be only known as AVERAGE only so get ur butt off and go to study .
obviously you should try hard, but i can’t believe that i can’t find a comment with negative views about this , i mean common you can’t work 24/7 there’s other ways to get better grades which have less stress involved, study smart: at the right time of day, with the right methods, taking regular 5-10 minute breaks. you DONT need to not watch an tv and not have social media’s, you can’t work all day long because that’s not right, at the end if the day you need to sit on your bed or the sofa and read a book or watch tv, you need to relax yourself, study in short bursts over the period of a few weeks, take a 5-10 minute break every 25minutes-1hour, eat food and drink water and find a revision method that works for you, if you are in high school or college you SHOULD go to parties and you SHOULD hang out with friends and you SHOULD watch tv!!!!!! or your just going to exhaust yourself and regret not going out them few Saturday nights, WORK HARDER AND MORE EFFECTIVELY WORKING SMARTER, don’t sit their for hours and hours everyday you need exercise and you need food and you need a break, you need to see friends and family and you need to take your mind of studying for a couple hours
@@bookbrad3719 good for them, but that doesn't mean you should tell people cram endlessly without breaks. Tell them they need to know When to say No. Because their is a time to study and their is also a time for relaxation.
@@bookbrad3719 Sure thing. Just remember everyone is different and different strategies work for them. The person you were talking about may need to study or cram a lot to get a high grade but someone else may only need to listen to the teacher and revise and practice their work in half or less of the time and succeed. Its all about how effective your work strategy is for you. :)
book brad my friends brother is attending Princeton this year and he ended the school year with like a 4.3 gpa. He’s one of the biggest party animals I know.
I got 10 subjects and I got A in four of them but I know this is just not enough to beat those toppers sitting on top. I promise I'll work hard and smart.
we can't blame the students all the time also many teachers are bad and they can knock you down when they don't appreciate your hard work when you make everything clear and they try to make it difficult for you even if it's easy they think when they give low marks can make them proud of themselves and can make their modules hard ... I am a university student in Algeria and here many teachers take advantages of their place against you as a student I am not generalizing but many of them treat you bad and tried to put all the pressure on the student there are many who think they are gods or something like they don't make mistakes and they are perfect .....even some gives you a lot of handouts like 30 pages or ...and then you have to memorize it all by heart ...is this a system of education or system of making copies ?? and the problem that you can't understand then you write it in your own way ..no no they will not accept it even if its right they oblige you to write the same as they said in their own style ....just 3days ago we make a test and i got an average mark which means that i don't deserve it at all because i used to get a good marks in this module the previous teacher was good enough then they replaced it with a new one who is young who's reading from handouts and reading from computer and then she obliged us to memorize about 25-30 pages the problem is that i worked so hard and i woke up early to revise and struggling to keep my marks up ...its okay till now everything is good in test i make everything clear i talked about everything in a clear way ...then i was shocked getting an average mark why i get an average amrk while i revise and spend a lot of time revising this module i checked my paper and i found that everything is clear and correct i go to her and ask her can you tell me why you gave me this mark while everything is clear ?? she looked at the paper and then she tried to make excuses aah you didn't mention the date ..here is the date aah you don't mention where it began ..look here ..aah ..then she starts to think you didn't give me enough reasons ...i said i gave you everything of what you have said and what is written in handouts then she said its my own correction and i am the teacher i didn't like the style and you need to be more specific ......is this can cosidered as a teacher ok you omit the half of the mark just because of that ?? she said yeah ..then i realized that i live in a 3rd world country called algeria where some teachers are afraid of you to be like them and took their places and where many of them teach from pdf and handouts and then they make hard exams when you ask for a more explanation they say you weren't following me where the teachers give a bribe to be teachers and where they can evaluate you from your name of family your money your appearance .. ...not your level not your hard work ...btw if a student answer in the class he will get punsihed by adminstaration while some teachers they can even talk to their boyfriends inside the class. ............when you can be absent because your father dies but they will put a zero 0 and say that roles are roles .......you can be guilty if you born in 3rd world country i talked about a simple and just a small part of our system of educations and how things work but you can generate it everywhere here things are just against you everyone is against you against your hard work against your dreams against your inspiration but still struggling to the end .....

For some reason, my physics skills were pretty low during the start of 3rd term but now, I can easily solve questions and understand them quite well, thanks to this and all the other motivational videos I have watched it really did help me achieve something that I wanna be good at. Now the exams are pretty near and I gotta stop procrastinating work and hopefully my grades will go up. Thanks again mr..
This video is great and motivational and all, but please especially to all students who work hard already, learn to take a break. Learn to take care of yourself. Studying is important, but your own health and wellbeing should be prioritised as well. Don't burn out, especially early in the year. Don't just work hard, work steady, work smart. This is a marathon, not a sprint.
Coming from someone who has failed classes to now getting A’s.. you have to find techniques that work for you. Maybe flash cards help, writing notes down over and over, highlighting using different colours, typing notes out after writing them.. so many different ways to study. I finally found a way that works for me. You just have to try again. You will make it!
hey buddy, look the first few times maybe it wont work. but keep trying and dont give up. dont pay attention to what others are doing. just keep on working hard. understand the topics well, and ask your teacher if any doubts. be determined to achieve your goal, and im sure your hardwork will pay off someday, if you are truly working hard.
I’m only in 7th grade but I’m starting now I’m going to work hard to become a surgeon to save people’s lives. I was put on this earth to save lives. I’m going to make my parents proud and prove to all teachers, doctors and people that I’m smart. My mother did drugs when I was fetus and the doctors told my brith mom and adopted parents that I have a high chance of autism. I don’t have autism but learning disabilities. In school I’m pretty much average but I’m going to work harder than them and I’m going catch them and I’m going to pass them.
I was not an average student but my grades now became average. Its cause i started focusing on other things too because i thought if i learn more skills than just study physics and chemistry which is of no fucking use in real (not talking about scientists and other career related to those) So instead of giving my 100 percent on studies i give 50 percent the other 25 in singing. 25 learning about entrepreneurship investing stock market.... And importantly about how Money works and how can I increase it I wanna keep myself equipped whit these cuz when I get into the war zone (life) and start my hustle these will help me achieve my dream of financial success... So I am not able to focus solely on studies Am i wrong....
I actually agree with you to some extent. I think you do need to equip yourself with more skills other than what school teaches you. It's refreshing to hear your approach - it's different - but I like it.

Coming from an 8th grade student, I was used to be an A/B grade student but when I reach in 8th grade I was really struggling and teachers are disappointed with me.I was on the top of my class now slowing down from the top as my grades decreases.I don’t know but when I start playing games and even when I stopped and start studying. My grades are still low compare to when I wasn’t playing anything else during last year.
Best way to get motivated to do you're homework even more and get to college even if you're struggling with believing it, it may happen if you work for it.
I have the highest grades in my year, but I'm hands down _horrible_ at studying, different techniques and such stuff. Honestly, I've just been lucky, and the way I work now (while I _do_ get great grades, and manage somehow to always have 5+ hours of free time at least every day) is *super* stressful. Though I do have a great friend who has the best studying methods I've ever seen! He works so much harder than me, and I should learn to draw inspiration from his hard work! This gave me the motivation I needed! Thanks! ^^

The school topper this year got 98.7% and he scored much cuz he never watched TV nor went to party .. it's not a peice of cake.. hardwork pays

The person you were talking about may need to study or cram a lot to get a high grade but someone else may only need to listen to the teacher and revise and practice their work in half or less of the time and succeed. Its all about how effective your work strategy is for you. :)

we can't blame the students all the time also many teachers are bad and they can knock you down when they don't appreciate your hard work when you make everything clear and they try to make it difficult for you even if it's easy they think when they give low marks can make them proud of themselves and can make their modules hard ... I am a university student in Algeria and here many teachers take advantages of their place against you as a student I am not generalizing but many of them treat you bad and tried to put all the pressure on the student there are many who think they are gods or something like they don't make mistakes and they are perfect .....even some gives you a lot of handouts like 30 pages or ...and then you have to memorize it all by heart ...is this a system of education or system of making copies ?? and the problem that you can't understand then you write it in your own way ..no no they will not accept it even if its right they oblige you to write the same as they said in their own style ....just 3days ago we make a test and i got an average mark which means that i don't deserve it at all because i used to get a good marks in this module the previous teacher was good enough then they replaced it with a new one who is young who's reading from handouts and reading from computer and then she obliged us to memorize about 25-30 pages the problem is that i worked so hard and i woke up early to revise and struggling to keep my marks up ...its okay till now everything is good in test i make everything clear i talked about everything in a clear way ...then i was shocked getting an average mark why i get an average amrk while i revise and spend a lot of time revising this module i checked my paper and i found that everything is clear and correct i go to her and ask her can you tell me why you gave me this mark while everything is clear ?? she looked at the paper and then she tried to make excuses aah you didn't mention the date ..here is the date aah you don't mention where it began ..look here ..aah ..then she starts to think you didn't give me enough reasons ...i said i gave you everything of what you have said and what is written in handouts then she said its my own correction and i am the teacher i didn't like the style and you need to be more specific ......is this can cosidered as a teacher ok you omit the half of the mark just because of that ?? she said yeah ..then i realized that i live in a 3rd world country called algeria where some teachers are afraid of you to be like them and took their places and where many of them teach from pdf and handouts and then they make hard exams when you ask for a more explanation they say you weren't following me where the teachers give a bribe to be teachers and where they can evaluate you from your name of family your money your appearance .. ...not your level not your hard work ...btw if a student answer in the class he will get punsihed by adminstaration while some teachers they can even talk to their boyfriends inside the class. ............when you can be absent because your father dies but they will put a zero 0 and say that roles are roles .......you can be guilty if you born in 3rd world country i talked about a simple and just a small part of our system of educations and how things work but you can generate it everywhere here things are just against you everyone is against you against your hard work against your dreams against your inspiration but still struggling to the end .....

For some reason, my physics skills were pretty low during the start of 3rd term but now, I can easily solve questions and understand them quite well, thanks to this and all the other motivational videos I have watched it really did help me achieve something that I wanna be good at. This video is great and motivational and all, but please especially to all students who work hard already, learn to take a break. Learn to take care of yourself. Studying is important, but your own health and wellbeing should be prioritised as well. Don't burn out, especially early in the year. Don't just work hard, work steady, work smart. This is a marathon, not a sprint.

Coming from someone who has failed classes to now getting A’s.. you have to find techniques that work for you. Maybe flash cards help, writing notes down over and over, highlighting using different colours, typing notes out after writing them.. so many different ways to study. I finally found a way that works for me. You just have to try again. You will make it!

I’m only in 7th grade but I’m starting now I’m going to work hard to become a surgeon to save people’s lives. I was put on this earth to save lives. I’m going to make my parents proud and prove to all teachers, doctors and people that I’m smart. My mother did drugs when I was fetus and the doctors told my brith mom and adopted parents that I have a high chance of autism. I don’t have autism but learning disabilities. In school I’m pretty much average but I’m going to work harder than them and I’m going catch them and I’m going to pass them.
I was not an average student but my grades now became average.
Its cause i started focusing on other things too because i thought if i learn more skills than just study physics and chemistry which is of no fucking use in real (not talking about scientists and other career related to those)
So instead of giving my 100 percent on studies i give 50 percent the other 25 in singing. 25 learning about entrepreneurship investing stock market....
And importantly about how Money works and how can I increase it
I wanna keep myself equipped whit these cuz when I get into the war zone (life) and start my hustle these will help me achieve my dream of financial success...

Coming from an 8th grade student, I was used to be an A/B grade student but when I reach in 8th grade I was really struggling and teachers are disappointed with me.I was on the top of my class now slowing down from the top as my grades decreases.I don’t know but when I start playing games and even when I stopped and start studying. I have the highest grades in my year, but I'm hands down _horrible_ at studying, different techniques and such stuff. Honestly, I've just been lucky, and the way I work now (while I _do_ get great grades, and manage somehow to always have 5+ hours of free time at least every day) is *super* stressful.
Though I do have a great friend who has the best studying methods I've ever seen! He works so much harder than me, and I should learn to draw inspiration from his hard work! This gave me the motivation I needed! Thanks! ^^
