You might be wondering... what's so good about being an advertising major? Should I choose advertising as my major? What would my life look like if I was an advertising major? OR maybe you're just wondering what life as a college student looks like? Well, today I'm hoping to give you guys a little bit of clarity and an inside look into the life of an advertising major... at the University of Florida (go gators).
You might just be wondering what it's like to be a college student. I gotchu!! This is usually what it looks like for me. I'm also a ~coffee barista~ so of course I'm bringing you along to my coffee shop to get COFFEE (an essential). I'll also show you the super easy meals I'm eating today. And finally, I'm giving you a TOUR of UF's campus and I got some pretty shots for that so stay tuned!! I'm excited to show you my home. This is a typical day in my life at UF with lots of homework to be done.

Some advertising work I'm doing today (for those of you interested) is industry research for my senior project, a content calendar for my internship, an international advertising homework assignment comparing ads in different countries, and a situation analysis. I also have meetings for my Agency on campus and Ad Society.
Currently, I'm a senior pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Advertising. If you are considering advertising or marketing, this is the video for you! I absolutely love my major, and so I'm excited to share my experiences with you all. :)

@@meganfernandes9880 Love that’s such a good question and I’m actually editing a video now that answers that a bit!! But I will say that if you think you’re a creative problem solver this might be the field for you. I did a lot of research before I made the switch but one thing that sold me is how many options you have within the marketing/advertising field. There’s so much room to move around! But I will be posting a video soon that hopefully answers this more. Just do lots of research and really know what you want to get out of your career goals! ❤️

@@meganfernandes9880 Can i answer? as Kristen said, if you are creative problem solver this field is totally for you! Secondly, with Advertising/Marketing you can do so many different types of jobs.. Reasons why i love being Advertising/Marketing major:
1: It's so diverse, there's so many options you can go in from Marketing research to Product management, from Brand management to Digital Marketing, from Creative Advertising to Public Relations and so on..
2: If you are a person, who loves to be in different industries with only one degree, this field is 100% for you bcz there's no industry who doesn't want Advertising/Marketing managers. You like sports? you can work for Nike, Adidas etc.. you like fashion? you can join fashion industry.. point is there's endless possibilities with marketing/advertising, you can even join tech or game company like EA sports, Lockwood, Supercell etc.. And obviously main industry for Marketing/Advertising is FMCG!
3: Salary is really good, even after experience you can become CMO or CEO because Marketing/Advertising is business major and perfect for being CEO.
4: It's so adaptive, if you work in Advertising/Marketing you are working in what is going on.. like some months before even a year ago corona attacked this world, all marketing professionals started corona related campaigns. Black Friday etc marketing/advertising adapts every situation, era etc.

Ahh thank you so much!! It can take long sometimes haha! Usually it will take me a few hours to get it how I like it. But I'm also just a perfectionist and like to take my time!

Hi!! Take lots of relevant courses and sign up for those internships/organizations!! Experience and skills are KEY!
