      Yep, it's the sower. Spreading new growth to the state. It faces to the NW or towards the most land in the state. The Capitol in general is truly a piece of art. There is a lot of Native American symbolism and art. The whole thing tells a story about the state (from prehistoric to modern times) as well as the history of the USA and of law

      Lincoln actually has a decent Vietnamese and Korean population for it's size. I was born and raised there. For retirement it's not bad. My parents retired a couple years ago and live there. Biggest downside for all of Nebraska is that property taxes are some of the highest in the country, but a low cost of living and cheaper housing helps make up for it. As for the job market, it depends. Insurance, education, government, and health care are the biggest and growing. There is also a small, but growing tech scene. Manufacturing is very much lacking, but construction and service industries are strong.

    • @kingsledge
      @kingsledge 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'll also add that it is a very clean, safe, and fun place to live. The city really shines for people raising a family. High quality education, lots of unique parks and trails, and a beautiful children's zoo are some highlights. Being a college town, downtown is always hopping, especially on game days.

    • @CityGeek
      @CityGeek  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The view of the skyline coming into Lincoln on interstate 180 is very impressive (for the size). Especially now that they just finished the cities new second tallest building on the north end. It's been about 15 years since I've been to Boise, so I won't try to compare
