I like the advantage because you have to make sure you’re asking the correct question to the correct person.. Plus is a good plot twist sorta like the idol nullifier

Absolutely. The 3 of them made a complete fool out Liana. Liana was too stupid to realize, "Wait, I went through Xander's bag, that's not the same idol he's revealing!". She's so many levels of stupid!
They were laying it on pretty thick. I think if you didn't have someone who can play the surfer buffoon card as well as Xander does, and Liana were someone with that slight bit more social savvy like her ally Shan, she would have sniffed out some kind of a trap. Fortunately though Yase made it work!

I think he could maneuver his way far if the yase 3 can flip naseer and Erika and maybe even Heather but at that point Xander would have to bend over backwards to ensure he would make it to the end and win, he’s almost better off just getting rid of potential goats like danny and naseer and Heather cause people like eevie and Shan are huge threats and can be used as shields

This ENTIRE tribal was a masterclass by Xander. Not only did he burn Liana’s advantage, he also got a member of the majority voted out, (without it being Nasir who they will probably try to flip next ep) AND he didn’t have to play the idol or extra vote. Regardless of how the season plays on, that’s arguably one of the best tribal performances since Michael on Ghost Island, except it actually completely worked for Xander.
Xander still made a mistake by letting them know right away that she stole a fake. The optimal play would have been to let them think they disarmed him, let all the votes fall on Evvie, play the real idol, and then use their three votes to send Shan home with her idol. Xander would have used his idol, but taking out Shan at that point would have fractured that large alliance.

Plus imo if they idoled out Shan the majority alliance is actually stronger, Bc then Liana and Ricard probably don’t turn on Danny and Deshawn as early. Sure, the move is slightly more flashy I guess, but in the long run all it does is make him more vulnerable and have a bigger target.
@@alexjames4770 - Shan was the glue connecting Ricard to the alliance and Liana would have started doing her own thing without Shan’s influence. They lost Sydney who definitely realized she was at the bottom of the large alliance and would have flipped to the others. The small alliance also made a mistake in not immediately telling Erika that her tribe served her up on a silver plate as an easy merge boot. I would have been in her ear during that foot stack challenge.
This is undoubtedly one of the most overrated moves in history. This was Tiffany’s and evvies move for Xander to give the idol to tiffany(quite obviously the least likely person to have it). Xander’s acting is fucking awful here not to mention and he nearly ruins the move when he tells Danny he’s playing the idol on Evvie which gives Danny the initiative to split the vote. The yase completely vote in the minority here and are only saved due to 1.Naseer flipping the vote to get out Sydney (nothing Xander or the yase did) and 2.Sydney using her shot in the dark. It seems you have really bad tunnel vision if you think Michael Yerger had a great tribal council when he was an really bad player with bad reads. He told sebass and chelsea they’re at the bottom but they’d be voting bradley(right in front of the entire naviti) which gives them the obvious initiative to stick with Bradley rather then flip to the minority. It was an horrid performance that could’ve been done so much better and a lot of it had to be done with actual strategizing with Chelsea and sea bass and against them as well(for example not telling them who their target was).
Yeah Xander and I really like Tiffany and Eevie too. Like kudos to Tiff to respect it was Xanders idol and not playing it. Liana and Shan were so smug ahhaa. I lived what hapoened.
He earned his spot back this epsiode. He was already probably coming back some day just from his archetype, but now he really deserves it. All-time great advantage subversion and idol hold.

the fact that xander got them to play their advantages and extra votes while using none of his because he shook them so much just by getting into their heads is so awesome and badass.
she's young and inexperienced so it's easy for people to read her and she's dives right into things without giving much thought. That been said, there something amazing about xander refusing to let go of his female tribe members, and did something unbelievable to keep them safe.
To be honest, Evvie spilled the beans about Xander to Deshawn on the "islamd trip", and Deshawn did reveal that information to everyone at this tribal. I wonder if it's going to put a strain on Xander's and Evvie's alliance.
I don’t see Xander winning this game; but he is also good at planning ahead, and is not afraid to make fairly bold moves. He reminds me of Jay from the Millenials and Gen-X season.
I don't know why people idolize Jay. He never once made a strategic move. Voting out Michaela is regarded as one of the worst moves he could have made for himself that game. He didn't solidify an alliance, and he actually strengthened the other tribe because of it.
God i just love how he whiped the smirk off her dumb smug face. I'm loving the editing this season where thwyre not showing the viewers everything until it matters. Like with naseer finding the 3way idol and this plan..its so good and keeps the surprises surprising
Get that terribly overpowered advantage put of here! Glad Xander managed to get to a point where he was to reliably snuff that advantage out. If Yasa went to another as was, he definitely would’ve had the idol stolen and he’d be gone without shot in the dark
He had my heart racing bc he was so confident he didn’t need to play his idol for evvie. If only Sydney hadn’t done the shot in the dark they could have at least tied her with Dashawn. Xander: brave and decisive, Sydney: afraid and voted off the island. Xander is playing really well.
Lianas smile changed to a straight face so fast when he said it was fake, she was way to overconfident and Xander was a badass and made an excellent move
I have to say that the second Liana said in a confessional that this move will make her the next Parvati or something, I knew she was gonna blow it. and I loved it so much :D

I was opposed to Tiffany winning until this tribal, now I’m rooting for the underdogs in Xander, Tiff, & Evvie but we’ll see how the season plays out :)
I would actually blame Shan because liana wasn’t planning on telling anymore but Shan asked her about it right in front of Tiffany…. The. Tiff went on to tell the other 2 about it

It would be epic if Xander were to just quietly pass her the fake idol, and for Liana to play the fake idol later on. The face on Jeff and the entire cast would have been priceless! Haha.
The only thing with that I'm thinking is seeing as everyone would know about the idol the probably would avoid voting her and if Xander spills that she has a Fake then it'll probably get back to her

Xander has gotten a bad edit all season and even the editing couldn’t make this look like it was Eviee or Tiff’s plan. From creating the fake idol, acting at tribal, and his conversation to bait Danny, Xander pulled this off.
For as much as I hate that this season has more Twists and Advantages than Contestants, I like how the editors are hiding things from the audience to surprise us.
I usually hate that, especially when it comes to advantages, but this moment and the naseer moment made up for all the other times they tried to dupe us

OMG - that was SO epic. Everyone thought Xander was just in the dark, clueless to her playing them for fools - I LOVED that moment - & loved that we were not clued into what Xander had done right before tribal. "No, but you can have this fake one"... that will go down as one of the worst and funniest idol fails in the history of Survivor. I'm glad Evvie told Xander and he avoided looking like a fool by having his idol taken by someone who was just playing a devious and sloppy game. Well done Xander, well done !! I am honest - I laughed so hard I fell out of my chair - even wet my pants a little. EPIC !!
It’s amazing how Liana was like “I’m tired of people underestimating me” just earlier in the episode and she looked like an absolute moron here, asking Xander for the idol not even thinking about the possibility he cooks have given it to someone else 😂 One of the greatest tribal moments in survivor history
Xander is the Dean of Season 41! He’s been my number one since day 1 just like dean. He was not the smartest pre merge and then absolutely was goated pat merge. Xander for the win!
This was one of my favorite moves in years! It seems like production propped up the steal advantage perfectly, since it was on the same season where the whereabouts of three idols were given to everybody, but it backfired in productions faces in the best possible way, and we got this glorious tribal
This was the MOST POWERFUL advantage in the history of the game. Especially because Xander, Naseer and Shan all had to publically say they had idols. Liana fumbled this so hard lol I hope she goes soon
It's a powerful advantage but personally i still think the super idol Til had in cook islands is still the most OP advantage in the history of the game. You literally can't be blindsided if you have it since you can play it after the votes were read. If you have it you're literally 100% until you need to play it

When I watched this I genuinely thought he was that stupid to reveal his idol next to the person he knows has the advantage to steal it. He hasn’t been that smart previously. But the fact that he was able to use a fake idol to fool Liana is impressive. Fake idols are a gamble that rarely work because people can usually tell. But when it actually fools someone it’s something. It’s funny Liana saw herself as like a badass underdog getting the upper hand on Xander when in reality her and Shan were more like villains. And Xander is the underdog really. Don’t think he’ll win but I give him credit and props for this move. And side note, props to Erika for having the guts to reverse the results of the last challenge. Probably has a big target on her back but I give her props for making a bold move

Arrogance can blind you. She should have learned, that when Xander showed the idol, it was fake. The little clique was so excited, like ravenous wolves looking over a helpless lamb. Then she pounces and finds out it is not what she thought it was. Now the biggest thing is everyone knows just how much Liana's word really means. Even her clique knows how Liana will lie directly to their face.
Liana had blinders on for hating Xander for literally no reason, and she was so fucking smug too. Seeing someone like that get so totally clowned on is whats so great about survivor.
That's what I say too. I still don't get why she hates Xander so much. She betrays her original alliance and uses her advantage just to get him out. So blinded that Liana can't see that Xander temporarily gave it to someone else so he can say 'no'....

This whole season is a reminder to keep ur idols and advantages to yourself...even well intended allies can mess it up for you. Lack of food and sleep makes ppl do and say stupid stuff
I loved this so much. I could tell they were having Liana on bc honestly why would you tell someone you dont trust exactly what youre gonna do. Almost seemed like they were trying to make him look dumb Before they left for tribal i kept thinking “they should give it to tiff, theyd never expect that!” Or that he could have a fake. And let me tell yall i SCREAMED when it was revealed that i was on point. I love this new editing style with stuff like that-

Liana turned her back on her original alliance way too easy! All from meeting Shan for a couple of hours! She is easily lead
she's young and inexperienced so it's easy for people to read her and she's dives right into things without giving much thought. That been said, there something amazing about xander refusing to let go of his female tribe members, and did something unbelievable to keep them safe.

I don’t see Xander winning this game; but he is also good at planning ahead, and is not afraid to make fairly bold moves. He reminds me of Jay from the Millenials and Gen-X season.
I don't know why people idolize Jay. He never once made a strategic move. Voting out Michaela is regarded as one of the worst moves he could have made for himself that game. He didn't solidify an alliance, and he actually strengthened the other tribe because of it.

OMG - that was SO epic. Everyone thought Xander was just in the dark, clueless to her playing them for fools - I LOVED that moment - & loved that we were not clued into what Xander had done right before tribal. "No, but you can have this fake one"... that will go down as one of the worst and funniest idol fails in the history of Survivor. I'm glad Evvie told Xander and he avoided looking like a fool by having his idol taken by someone who was just playing a devious and sloppy game. Well done Xander, well done !! I am honest - I laughed so hard I fell out of my chair - even wet my pants a little. EPIC !!

This was one of my favorite moves in years! It seems like production propped up the steal advantage perfectly, since it was on the same season where the whereabouts of three idols were given to everybody, but it backfired in productions faces in the best possible way, and we got this glorious tribal

It's a powerful advantage but personally i still think the super idol Til had in cook islands is still the most OP advantage in the history of the game. You literally can't be blindsided if you have it since you can play it after the votes were read. If you have it you're literally 100% until you need to play it

When I watched this I genuinely thought he was that stupid to reveal his idol next to the person he knows has the advantage to steal it. He hasn’t been that smart previously. But the fact that he was able to use a fake idol to fool Liana is impressive. Fake idols are a gamble that rarely work because people can usually tell. But when it actually fools someone it’s something.
It’s funny Liana saw herself as like a badass underdog getting the upper hand on Xander when in reality her and Shan were more like villains. And Xander is the underdog really. Don’t think he’ll win but I give him credit and props for this move.
And side note, props to Erika for having the guts to reverse the results of the last challenge. Probably has a big target on her back but I give her props for making a bold move

Arrogance can blind you. She should have learned, that when Xander showed the idol, it was fake. The little clique was so excited, like ravenous wolves looking over a helpless lamb. Then she pounces and finds out it is not what she thought it was. Now the biggest thing is everyone knows just how much Liana's word really means. Even her clique knows how Liana will lie directly to their face.
