Thank you very much - I love the stain glass windows! Apparently St Martins in Canterbury is the oldest church in England. I hope to be able to drive that far, one day.
I went there on a school trip, many years ago and would love to get back there some day. There’s so many interesting, obscure, village churches to explore, as well - got my work cut out but it’s really joyful seeing them and walking through doors our ancestors have passed.
@@donnyetta They each have their own special character and quirks, like people do - I've really seemed to have become captivated by the thought and action of exploring them. Have a great day 🤗
@@donnyetta Yes, there are some very fascinating gravestones about - I might even have some coming on the next few months! Lots of editing first though 🤗
It would have been nice if you’d have told us a little bit more about the church, rather than concentrating on the carved wood and listening to your voice!
Thank you for your constructive feedback - it's always valuable to me as I want to improve. I've only recently started the channel ( this was actually one of the 1st ones) and am still discovering the best way to present things. The idea for the name of the channel came up as a play on the words hymn & him - my intention was to sing in each church but it isn't always possible/or desirable/I'm not in the frame of mind to do it etc. I'm still working out the balance between what I would like to do and what is in the better interests of my viewers! Recently I have been putting much more specific information to do with artefacts and history etc, because I love these things too. Hopefully, you'll find more of interest in some of these other ones. Thank you for commenting - I really appreciate it 🤗👍
