EDIT: I think that this song was actually made in 2017 but I really don't know, and the lyrics (material) for this song were made in 1849, not the song itself. Also I forgot to put an apostrophe in there somewhere and I'm not reuploading an entire video to fix a single apostrophe.
Ok, so there is a lot to explain here.
This song was originally made as a compilation of books about Kalevala by Lönnrot, but the persons responsible for making this song (Andrew Lawrence-King, I believe) transformed the collection into a medieval opera, this song is from that opera (the opera is called "Kalevala: The Opera").
You probably also noticed that the map and flag are a bit strange, which is because I am using a map of pre-Swedish Finland (the map I used is based on this video: • The History of Norther... . And, of course pre-Swedish Finland didn't have a flag, so I used the 1918 flag of Finland as I believe that of all the Finnish flags, it does the best job at displaying Finland regardless of time period. The English lyrics are also (I believe) somewhat incorrect, but I believe that they aren't supposed to be a direct translation of the Finnish lyrics (basically, it might be incorrect on purpose).
The song itself is about the creation of the Kantele in Finnish Mythology by Väinämöinen, if you don't know who he is I highly recommend researching him more, he is quite the figure. This is why I used such an old map of Finland despite the song being not even 200 years old; because the Kantele is believed to have been created between 1 and 2 thousand years ago, according to contemporary historians.
I hope all of that clears up everything!
Lyrics can be found on pages 9-10 of this: www.ilcorago.com/_files/ugd/a...

I listen to this in sauna. There's no words in the world to describe how based this is.

This is one of the most epic songs I've ever heard. like an echo from ancient times, from times forgotten.
"there was a time when he was worshiped as a god, and why wouldn't he be worshiped, after all, he was the son of Ilmatar"
or at least that's what the legends say. at least he was a great hero.
