The OL ground cannons are 180m, so he had range... Think he just lost the chaff battle just enough for the well placed high-luck-high-level card Melter to act as artillery that can't be dodged. Wasps and wasp tech on the OL probably would have helped. Nothing like a card-provided perfect counter... New survival mode... yay.

Best counter to a melting point (especially defraction) is another melting point. The higher level was a problem but red was winning on the ground battle on both sides until the last two turns, which would have likely bought enough time on target.

I think the first game was actually won by the bad sheild placement, that little bit of fire killing the front fangs opened up the scorpion more than fists did, which also seems to have changed the hack timings so that alot of units died to cannons right before their hacks finished

Raidboss defrac melter is one of the most satisfying things in this game

I don't like dropping too much chaff, in my experience it just all goes into Vulcans and splash damage in later rounds
