I know a few people have tried and failed to find it and I remember coming down High Hartsop Dodd headfirst, on my back, last time I came down there😳, bloody awful decent, especially in the wet, which we had and yes, I need to do Hartsop Dodd too. Long time since I have seen a newt but remember catching them when I was a kid. I am all for leaving usable stuff for other people but some of that was pure rubbish and disgraceful that it had been left. I am sue some who have found it said it was a mare to get too but a couple of others said there was an easier way, not that bothered about doing it myself but good to see it, especially on a day like that, brilliant views. Looking at your drone footage I cannot see an easer way to the Priest Hole and like you say, some canny drops there too! Still, you got some cracking shots from looked like a tough days walking, cheers Alan
Haha it’s a steep one isn’t it Alan, I surprised myself by spotting the newt but always good to see. It a tough walk up but couldn’t see any other way to get to it TBH. Thanks as always for watching ATB 👍
Good 1 Phil . It looked a grand day to be out in the hills and some great shots as ever at the end . I've visited the Priests Hole 3 of 4 times myself , never spent the night in there . I imagine the sunrise from there would be something to see . It's a shame as ever that people leave crap behind , gas and candles , the odd foam mat - Yes , but perishable food - Brainless .
Stayed up there a couple of years ago mate in the middle of the first lockdown, was very clean and only beers left in the box, been back a couple of times on the way past to show people and its been an absolute mess ever since, pitty people don't take there stuff home with them. good video Phil, glad you found it 😃
Thanks Matt, it’s a lovely place, always disappointing to find rubbish left behind. Wouldn’t mind an overnighter there myself. Thanks for watching mate ATB Phil 👍
Nice film Phil, I’ve never been to the Priest Hole, but often wondered about it on my way down from Fairfield back to Ambleside. Shame about the rubbish, but in a way because the Lakes is so relatively clean and tidy when you do see rubbish like that it looks all the more awful. Thanks for taking the time to share your excellent camera work. 👍🏻
Thanks very much Jon, appreciate you taking the time to watch it. Yes I agree the lakes are relatively and is always disappointing when you find rubbish. ATB 👍
Cracker👍👍...Somewhere I've always fancied visiting...After watching you I'm glad I've never got round to it...😬😬!! As knowledgeable and informative as ever - Cheers mate - T🙂
Bloody hell! No thanks! How the heck did you manage to find a route up that mate. Hats off to you but I'll leave stuff like this to you professionals. Cheers Phil, cracking video
Hi Dan, it’s approximately 3mile from the car park at Brothers Water, it’s a stiff climb up the valley but once you reach the top of the steep climb (steps) it flattens off where you’ll see a big rock. This is where you turn left and make it up climbing up the rocks to the ledge I showed in the video. It’s not too bad if you take your time. Thanks for watching 👍
place Ive never thought or wanted to venture too so nice to see it, You saved me some sweat Phil...lol Nice one buddy.
Haha cheers Goe thanks very much for watching 👍
