XG stands for Xtraordinary Girls. XG is a 7 member Japanese girl group that debuted with the song Tippy Toes, should totally check out the dance practice. They aren’t K-pop or Jpop. They are a Global Girl group that can speak 3 languages. All of their songs are in English. The song after Tippy Toes is mascara. The first member is Jurin. She's the leader and lead rapper, main dancer, and a vocalist. She is 20. Chisa is the next, she's the sub-leader and main vocalist. She’s 21. Hinata is the main dancer and sub vocalist. She’s 20. Harvey is a main rapper and sub vocalist. She’s also 20. Juria is a main vocal. She’s 19. Maya is a lead vocalist and a rapper. Shes 17. Cocona is the maknae and a main rapper. She turned 17 in December.
They recently had a Xypher that showcases Cocona, Maya, Harvey and Jurins rapping. It went viral. They also released a song called Left Right along with Shooting Star. You should check out Chisas cover of nobody love. Jurin and Harvey's chill bill. And peaches.

XG is THE future! They've trained professionally, I believe, for 7 years and out of those 7, 5 of them were spent training together as a group. They've been waiting to debut since 2017. Tippy Toes was their debut single in 2022, followed my Mascara.

These girls are just different, trust me, deep dive their content, Tape, Vox, Move, MVs, Performances, and Dance Practices. Their behind the scenes content is really good too giving you a glimpse of their personalities and their work ethic. Even though they only debuted less than a year ago, they are super talented and motivated to be great. They have joined my top favorite GGs, BP and Dreamcatcher and I can't wait to see their career unfold.

XG producer Simon is a half of Korea and Japan, he was a member of Kpop boy's group 'DMTN' around 2012.
Doing music activities or being a Kpop idol in Korea was his dream, so he became a producer in Korea after 'DMTN' disbanded.
(He was born in Seattle and grow up in Korea, graduated from Japanese music university)
He was also an 'Avex' trainee in Japan, so he formed XG and produces that Japanese girls👍🌈✨ (All XG girls were Avex trainees💕)

Also, 1 thing so sad I noticed is when they were performing in Korea (where they are based at), the crowd was dead. XG girls being from Japan, I can see the xenophobia at play among the Koreans. This is the reason you'll probably not see XG is any top list or awards in Korea... even though they are way more talented than most other groups 😓 XGs success will largely depend on International Non Korean fans I think...

"Eww, I hate you go back to your country🤮🤮," "Why can't you just perform in Japan," "They are not visuals," "They are small and boring," "New Jeans 2.0 copycats" - these are just some of the nasty comments left and as a fan, it's really disheartening to see😔

You should check out their rap line in GALZ XYPHER, this song doesn't fully show their talents. A lot of people also think their B side, Left Right, is just as good as this song, if not better. I would listen to their first two songs after all that, Mascara and Tippy Toes hit different after seeing their cypher and this whole comeback.
Initially I knew I'd be watching out for them, but Tippy Toes feels like a new song now imo. Regardless, I love that the youngest will be 18 this year, and they aren't super young for their concepts, while only a few years older than NewJeans it makes a difference.
