I can see why they changed their style from this. While I prefer this sludgier sound there is no way they could have charted with hardcore like this. Its to raw and brutal.
This is good shit! Even the comments section doesn't have bullshitty comments. Heard this today for the first time. Reminded me of converge. Gonna check out the other bands mentioned below as well. Thanks for the music and tips on other bands mentioned.
This is kind of interesting, so I thought I'd share. In "Sleep (I've Been Slipping)..." "It's them pills I took to bring it off, she said" is actually a line from T.S. Eliot's poem called "The Waste Land". This is symbolic for getting an abortion. Back in the 1920s, women destroyed themselves just so they couldn't have children (the pills weren't exactly safe). I don't know if it was intentional, but Code Orange is art.
Holy shit, you're so fucking cool bro. You just shit on TS Eliot, wow that takes balls and is clearly a sign of your superiority to his writing, grats.
Can't expect them to stay the same forever. I, however, love Code Orange and their entire discography. They offer many diverse flavors over the course of their releases.
Yeah haha those aren't track times, just the length of each track. Sorry, don't have time to go through and write up the track times for most of my uploads, but if you (or anyone else) wants to go through and write them up in a comment I'd be more than happy to add them to the description and give you credit. Thanks for watching / listening!
Definitely have heard something incredibly similar to "Colors (Into Nothing)" before by another band. Someone help me out. Agalloch? Explosions in the Sky? Sleepmakeswaves?
This doesn't go very hard, but that's probably the weak but clean production... this sounds like entry level hardcore kid stuff, for sure though. Not bad.

Dude right?
this record is just fantastic. brutal, fresh, dirty and sludgy, great lyrics too. such ahead of its time, specially for teenagers. 10/10
its impossible to not give this album your full attention
Never be ashamed to say what your favorite band is, mine happens to be Code Orange. ^-^

este disco tiene todo lo que quieren las pibas, hardcore, shoegaze y breakdowns

this is better than anything they've put out since, by far.
Disagree, but hey you'll continue to say this in every CO thread, so see you around!
Agree, but i did also enjoy I Am King

Kurt Bailou (Converge's guitarist) produced this album, and the album was released on Jacob Bannon's (the singer of Converge) label Deathwish Inc.

wow
Wow. They quoted "The Waste Land" like every other hipster band out there. The lyrics, generally, are horrible.
Holy shit, you're so fucking cool bro. You just shit on TS Eliot, wow that takes balls and is clearly a sign of your superiority to his writing, grats.
Code Orange lyrics are universally garbage
@@louisvelazquez29 We get it, you're a pathetic fan boy.
This is way better than their newer stuff.
I shoul've just looked here before saying the same thing.
roots are certain/sky is empty rocks!! Hope they visit Holland with Converge…wtf Choises started while I still typing this…MOSHPIT!!!!
this album is kickass

so much better than i am king and forever, in my opinion :ccc
They're literally a beatdown band with grunge and some weird combo of industrial and nu metal on Forever. They felt so much more passionate here.
I'm just listening to this album now, but what's wrong with the last 2 albums?
reenny checkout the EP cycles for some other good old code orange kids!
nothing really, this album is just more creative and expressive honestly. the songs are just better written
Can't expect them to stay the same forever. I, however, love Code Orange and their entire discography. They offer many diverse flavors over the course of their releases.
If you captured the emotions in this music, and developed them into a movie. ..... .. ..
I'd watch it

Awesome, thank you!
remember when Code Orange use to be good
when they were code orange kids
Im sad they never played Sleep live. That track is fucking hard
This is so raw! Reminds me a lot of Kylesa. Not as good as Kylesa, but good in their own way.
***** lmfao as if Swans are raw.
Liimpan Hasselgren
Have you ever heard Filth? Probably their rawest and most unsettling album.
Liimpan Hasselgren have you heard any of the early Swans shit? It's fucking evil and scary as fuck. Proto-grind/doom metal.
