I met Little Richard at the Nashville Airport years ago; his chauffer introduced us in his limo; I told him "The Girl Can't Help It" was one of my favorite movies; him & Jayne Mansfield together on screen! Wow!" & he laughed & said "But I do believe I pulled it off! Whooooo!!" R.I.P. you wonderful man!
@@akimbofurry2179 "The Girl Can't Help It". It was a movie right at the beginning of Rock & Roll, which had lots of early rock and Rockabilly acts in it.
Man, this is the real America, priceless, eternally cool. The way it was before all the 1960's and 70's garbage started. This is a perfect antidote after looking at TV (prior to early November) I put this super clip on and I say....much better MUCH better!!!
wow, you think the 60s and 70s were garbage? so much watershed stuff happened then and you call that GARBAGE? i think your attitude might be more garbage tbh (that means "to be honest")
Anyone who doesn't think that this film clip is just wonderful, great Americans is really out of it. And, yeah, this IS when Cars, Clothes and Music WERE Better! Before drugs, Dallas, riots, Viet Nam and car Jack's. It's so terrible to feel that those were, well, 'happy days'? Sorry guys, they were.
The video quality was always superb in every movie all the way back. When they look crappy in TH-cam it is just because of the way they were uploaded, and from a poor source. If you saw this in a theater, from the original film source, you'd realize how limited even this fairly decent quality TH-cam resolution is. Film is vastly higher resolution than 4K, and probably 8K as well
I saw this first release print when I was in high school. In that one, there's a close up shot of Little Richard leering at Jayne suggestively as she crosses the nightclub while he's singing the title tune. Needless to say, that was soon chopped from successive prints.
While it is generally said that Vikki Dougan was the inspiration for the character Jessica Rabbit in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit", I have often thought that Jayne Mansfield, in particular this specific scene and this spectacular red dress, might have had something to do with the inspiration for Jessica Rabbit as well. Especially for the red dress that Jessica wore in the animated film.
The saddest thing is if that was today, Marilyn, Jayne Mansfield, Jayne Russell wouldn't get a toe in the door in Hollywood now because they would be classed as over weight, but they weren't they were women who were curvaceous and boy did they have them in droves.
Tell him the truth: you're actually a genius playing the role of just another blonde bimbo because if time you live in! Jayne was quite unique. Not just obviously gorgeous - she was a voracious reader; played the piano, violin, cello, flute; and spoke five languages fluently.

She's just another Trump Bigot. It's that simple.
I read that Little Richard said he had to get changed in the car because many venues wouldn't allow black performers to have dressing rooms.

drchilledair who didn’t get a hard on whenever Jayne Mansfield walked by?

Julie London looks more like Jessica Rabbit.

La glace qui fond,ça vaut dix
Jayne Mansfield!
Lol,Her daughter is on the show N,C,I,S.The Daughter won some award at the ceremony she thanked her Dad.🤔😳😅😂🤣
Did they darken Little Richard?? I remember him as much lighter complected
Yes, they did; if you look at his ears, they literally put blackface on little Richard smh.
RIP Little Richard 😢
I have yet to see this movie in full but I have to be honest. Mansfield was a looker but still she has nothing on Monroe.
She has nothing on Little Richard…
Marylin had got work done to her face. Jane natural....
No one can match Marilyn, but Jayne was a beauty too.
@@iloveprettygirls9543 lol..lies!!! Marilyn did nothing...in those days that wasnt a thing
I'll go with Jane...
Whats Nick Saban doing here?
Although he's the worst actor ever, I really dig Lucas's drape.
and men loincloths...
Someone said, "Jamie Foxx is a comedic actor and cannot play a serious role like Ray Charles, sorry." Lol😅
*
That woman had a .. disturbing body shape... o.O
She wore undergarments that made her look that way.
Jayne Mansfield Ji hadst a Perfect body. Rather.
Whaddya do, sing...dance?lol
"This is a man's world" - "This is a white man's world"; At least we had the genius of Little Richard - rockin.
