After being not updated to brawlhalla's esports scene for years, It's interesting to see that Sandstorm's playstyle in this match is so different from when he first won world championship
@@-Robert Take my opinion with a grain of salt, as I only peaked 2300 elo. Back then, the movements weren't this "quick" I can't quite explain on what I mean by "quick", but there is a lot more of back and forth movement, trying to bait out a whiff sorta type and just general movement improvement by everyone. As well as combos, I do not know if it only applies to this match, but they now prefer safer and more reliable combos, parallel to a lot of playstyle back then, where there were a lot of riskier dodge read plays that lead into more damage, but higher risk (not saying that dodge reads didn't happen here, it just happened less than from what I used to watch). Don't get me wrong, all players have improved a hell of a lot since back then and I do not mean to downplay these players and I could only wish to be half as good as them, but I kinda wished that they would bring back fast paced gameplay that would lead to more exciting plays
@@yuzureux oh man that's so interesting. Ra1n became my favorite player because he has this real fast paced agressive but still incredibly high performing gameplay, sounds like the last part you wish for. Really interesting and man, you peaked 2300, you're top 1% give yourself some credit. Thanks for the insight!
@@-Robert Aye thanks haha, 2300 back then was impressive, but now, not too much, you'll get there some day. I have also seen Ra1n's gameplay and yes, it's really entertaining to watch. I also stopped playing around the time that jaeyun became the meta, so I really am not caught up to today's meta, especially now that they have battle boots, I really don't want to play. I still enjoy watching pro play from time to time.
I never understood that dumbass argument "tired of seeing the same pros win" like bro what ☠️. Why do you think they're pros in the first place? They're supposed to just.. waste all of their grinding because you're salty they have skills and you don't? And then they are fighting for money, no one is gonna go easy. People just gotta step up their game🤷♂️
@@FiendofwhatifsJigoku bro impala was nobody not even 2 years ago, he won bcx and then nothing else, he has never made it to top 8 in 2s, let alone win a tournament, he is in no way close to sandstorm's legacy who dominated 1s and 2s at some point
I understand Sandstorm is more patient, but this isn’t “domination”. No disrespect, but prime Sandstorm was most definitely dominating the scene. This play style is great, but eventually people get tired of seeing a chess match but rather see a slug fest or the aggressive play style, to truly show how far beyond the skill level is.
It wasn't fully one-sided to be honest, but it's very cool to see Sandstorm is the NA king ( but I think Luna is not there anymore, so it's a bit wrong )
scythe already got nerfed like 3 times, dair force reduction, dlight recovery time is longer, and also soft nerfs like the dash changes making scythe lose confirmed combos
The only thing I see broken in scythe (correct me if I'm wrong) is the fact that you have priority when doing recovery and they give you gp with short weapons (the one who do gp is hit by your recovery)
I strongly dislike the new age of commentary. It feels like old commenters were supportive of the good plays, but now they're critical of every tiny mistake these pros make, really detracts from the gameplay.
They dont know that lmao, they're not pro players they're casual spectators, dont expect them to understand how a professional plays, they're there to provide secondary entertainment

It's for everyone tbh. The game has evolved to a more movement based and option based skill level
Can you elaborate on the change? I haven't followed the scene back then + I'm shit so I couldn't see it if I wanted to

Sandstorm genuinely started trying and then started being absolutely disrespectful ☠️
That's when he realised he's sandstorm and can throw sand in their eyes

Man, Sandstorm's playstyle right now maybe less flashy but way more efficient than before
at least he's not being passive
Sandstorm's dominantion is really amazing when u really think about it, he truly is the best player of all time and by far

Not by far when it comes to impala them 2 have always been neck and neck
