As everyone keeps saying, I can't wait to watch Phil's side and see how much meta-gaming was going on between you guys. It was fun listening to you consider how Phil will react with every move knowing that you guys are friends. On that note, hugely disappointing that on the day when Phil is playing a 4c soup and you're playing Back to Basics that you didn't draw it against him lol
Something in the deck tech, I remember that people weren't sure if Narset and Teferi (especially Teferi) were that good when they came out. I remember sitting in some Legacy streams and people were coming up with all sorts of reasons why they weren't THAT good or were cutable. Seems crazy now.
@Livvvid honestly, not having played through oko, I still sometimes have trouble understanding how he was so warping. The stuff he does is good of course, but none of it truly seems like it pushes the curve too far from the outside. But nonetheless it kicked the formats ass, and was clearly too much. I wonder if it could be more reasonable to bring it back given how answers have shifted, with prismatic ending and REB being much more common, and more creature decks like initiative and red stompy being more prevalent.
@@jaredschroeder7555 it's because he was a 3 drop and had a shit ton of loyalty the turn he came out, provided life gain, AND he didn't have a minus ability that wasn't his ult
It’s probably worse than Staff, Narset, and Faerie Mastermind as a draw engine. I did an “all instants draw go” deck a while back that was kind of a meme, but it’s a good shell for a recent AK deck.
My only backseat gamer comment is he should have attacked in game 1 of round 2. If the Opp blocks with knight, it gets exiled and you can block with Stoneforge
Why would a deck be constructed with such a strong handicap to the manabase for a one-of with no tutors in all of the 75? I would expect one or maybe two more BtB in the sideboard. But maybe this is all moot in a two color deck. Still, small sacrifice to sub a Tundra for an island, but I realize now I'm arguing over a single card which isn't really the point when it comes to this daily content.
Round 1, Bosh on Stoneblade vs. Phil on some BS. Now this is the content I subscribe for.

Didn’t need it. :)
Looking forward to see Phil’s side of game 1. All the Colors staff tokens soup seems cool
I watched it, pretty funny so see these back to back.
Always enjoy seeing you pilot this style of deck
Me too! :)
G1 is what we all hope for. Getting to see the game from both sides is great.
Round 3, game 2:
Holy shit dude, that man was your friend and/or patron! You fucking executed him in the street like a dog
Gotta keep their respect by obliterating them if they step up. 😤
We get to see both sides of match 1 today, awesome!
Never clicked on a Magic video so fast. This and Grixis Control are two of my favorite legacy decks.
I get very excited when I can make Jace, TMS the thumbnail of a video.

Yeah we were 2/2 for a while, then 3/3, I got as far as 4/0 in favor of Narset, then none of either, turns out they’re just healthy parts of the meta

At 50:21 you could have attached your daybreak coronet to the spirit guide to attack for exact lethal infect.
Love that 🍞 & 🧈 4-1!
I love this deck. I finally got the cards to build this in paper. Took awhile though.👍
Congrats!
@@BoshNRoll thanks man
"Maverick? Is that even possible? Ew." 😂😂😂
Oh boi, Round 1 against Phil. Everyone now awaits his POV and commentary. 😂🤣😂🤣😂
“is this a crossover episode?”
jeskai is so much fun to watch!
Was this man in full control mode the entire time? It hurts 😂😂
OH MY GOSH. I JUST SAW PHILS VIDEO RIGHT BEFORE THIS 😂😂
This version looks great: You have this great controlgame, but also apply pressure instead of tapping boring staffs of some old storytellers.
33:10 Question about chalice -- who is that in its art? Does anyone know its backstory? ^_^
In the OG Mirrodin art, from what I can see of the depiction, it looks like Glissa. I'm not 100% sure, but it really.dows look like her.
Stoneblade❤
st.caterina is nice with this too. How long will it take for the card to hit mtgo?
No idea. We're all waiting with our fingers crossed.
@@BoshNRoll I've played the list in paper and it felt great! :)
Don't let Dougesontwitch hear those fighting words from game 1! "Maverick? Ew"
Always had it!
here's a deck i can build! let's lock em out
I think round 4 game 3 you made a huge mistake by drawing Kaldra instead of Batterskull.
Where can i find prices and so on for donation decklists? :) id like to do one :D
It’s all on Patreon. There should be a public post you can read without signing up. Email me if you can’t find it. :)
Hey Brian, I'm just wondering if you think AK is playable in legacy at all? And if so what should I be doing with it?

@@BoshNRoll Thanks man
Curious how you’d include st. Catherine into these kind of lists if at all
You probably don't get St Kath and Stoneforge, they're competing for the same space. I'll figure out how to build with Kath when I can use it. :)
Ahem Grist is a hungry girl
Good to know! Thanks :)
This one's a classic

There’s 4 Ponder, 4 Brainstorm, 4 Narset. You’ll find it when you want it and shuffle it away when you don’t.
Obligatory algorithmic contribution
thanks for reminding me true name nemesis is a messed up magic card
Yeah I have to remind myself now and then
