I'm pretty sure that's a historical palace/temple that's used in A LOT of Kpop videos. There are very similar styles between Korean and Japanese and Chinese architectural styles due to invasions, occupation and shared history
Traditional Korean buildings look similar to Japanese but they are distinctly different. There are many traditional hanok villages where you can see examples of this architecture. One unique aspect is they developed a method to warm the floors since the buildings were not as insulated and this is one reason why they slept on the floor.
Walkin On Water is the title track of their new album SKZ Hop Hip Tape that just came out today. 8 of the tracks on it are solo songs they've been performing in concert on tour. Highly recommend the song Bounce Back on it. 13 probably because this came out today Dec 13th, lol.
Honestly your reactions were great. You have very natural reactions compared to other channels. It's nice to know that we are watching a real reaction. I hope your channel grows 😭
When it comes to their musical & creative direction, SKZ really and truly embody their group name. They've always been a little unorthodox with their expressions, they don't really follow trends or conform to norms; they intentionally /stray/ from them! It's something they've been subject to heavy criticism for since their debut, but it's also their greatest charm! They're pretty much entirely self produced, navigating the industry in their own way and really cementing their own unique place in it! This musical identity is also their mindset and the biggest theme throughout their whole musical and creative discography. They truly are just these Stray Kids that came together, found a family within each other, and aim to share their stories, life experiences and voices with the world! Their sound is authentic and abstract, a lot of people in the Kpop community that criticise them call their sound 'noise music', which is something they fully embrace and take pride in despite the criticisms they may get for it! Their Japanese title track "The Sound" is a good example that really encapsulates this, and it's a song I definitely recommend! They don't put captions on their Japanese music videos, but there is an English translation on Genius !! Another great example is their Korean album title "NOEASY". It's wordplay with two meanings: "NOISY", which is a nod to the critics/haters that describe their music that way, but reclaiming it as a declaration of their desire to make a loud impact on the world with their music and message, and "NO(T) EASY", reflecting the difficulties and challanges we generally face in life as well as the hardships and hurdles they've overcome as a group! There's about a million more examples like this I could list, but bottom line is they're so unapologetically idiosyncratic and it's so so admirable! I think I'm rambling, but I just love them a lot! They're always trying new things, but in doing so manage to fuse it with that distinctively unique "Stray Kids" sound and it's super refreshing to see. Another commenter said this too, but another super admirable thing about them is they fully commit to understanding the source material of their inspirations and respect those origins whilst fusing them in with and maintaining their own style! For example, this special album (HOP). SKZ tend to release an Intro video for their albums before they officially release them, and in this they really go into depth on the creative and production processes that go into the albums they make, covering every track on the album! In the one for HOP, 3racha talked a bit about their admiration of Hip Hop and Boom Bap and their intentions to really honour the genres in Walkin On Water and Bounce Back! LeeKnow, one of the group's main dancers, is also a professional dancer; if he hadn't debuted with SKZ he was most likely going to become a choreographer, and Hip Hop dance styles are something he'd studied and specialised in as a trainee! He talks a little about incorporating some of these elements in the choreography for Walkin On Water in the Intro video too! SKZ truly are dedicated to their craft :)
Tell me why I’ve seen this mv and heard the song a million times and just realized that they said “I’m sea walkin’” then literally proceeded to C walk😅 they are so stinkin’ clever I love them so much! Loved your reaction as well so glad you came across my recommended page! Definitely subscribing ❤
this song is truly something, I was in class the first time I listened to it and to say I was awestruck is an understatement. truly insane people making insanely good songs
Stray kids are pretty unique and unorthodox in a lot of ways, especially within the kpop industry, and it’s what draws in so many of us They aren’t afraid to experiment for sure ( 8:12 also me when this part comes up, cmon Felix lol) Nice reaction!
Gracias por tu reacción con tanta introspección! fue una de las mejores que vi hasta el momento... Gracias por tu reacción hacia Stray Kids!❤ (espero que reacciones a mas de su contenido en un futuro✨✊🏻)
I was impressed by your reaction. I'm Japanese, but I don't think many Japanese people fully understand the cultural differences and connections between China, Korea, and Japan. I definitely felt a Beastie Boys vibe! Is it because of the drum sound?
I'm Japanese. Bows are mainly found in Korea. It is said that they were used in ancient battles because there are many mountains and rocks. Also, when I think of archery, I think of Korea. 13, The lyrics are disrespectful to Gosh, although everyone except LeeKnow, who is not religious, is Christian... As there are two Australian Christians, there's no way they wouldn't know about the relationship. I am a Buddhist.
It's time for Angelina Jordan. James Thiel has new footage from her Del Rey concert 14 Dec 2024. She does It's a mans world live. First time in years and it's fire. The whole concert is.
For this though the 13 is the day this album dropped so it could just be that but it could be more. They always be having hidden Easter eggs in their videos! Love this! I’m also loving Bounce back and U feat. Tablo. I think the piercing is fake but Hyunjin has gone out and spontaneously gotten his eyebrow pierced before so I wouldn’t put it past him. 😂 They filmed this at a hanok which is a traditional Korean house or estate.
I don't think the stylists would rep changbin in a 13 jersey if just for the day the album released.. it's either there is no meaning to it or it's something more significant than just the album release date
I love your reaction now please react to queens of K-pop Twice's new MV called Strategy ft. Megan thee stallion it's fire and trending worldwide already 🔥👑❤️🥵❤
One of my favorite things about SKZ is that they understand their source material and respect where it comes from.

YASSSS my fellow Stay, great reaction as always ❤

Thanks so much for shedding light from your hip hop knowledge. It's all new to me. Love that they took the genre but weaved in their SKZ flavouring.
My pleasure!
Yes....they mixed traditional with modern.....hip ho[ with traditional asian .....LOVE IT SO MUCH.

That's why I love SKZ! Their sound is not typical kpop boy band. Thank you for this reaction.❤

Only SKZ can pull off this typa concept 🔥
