    This is a pre 22 list. After the seasons they had, PCA should be #1 and Canario and Mervis should be higher ranked. Davis has to show he's pre back surgery Davis first

      Definitely after the years Mervis and Canario put up they should be high up on a lot of peoples’ lists, both hitting over 35 HR. My only concerns with Canario and PCA are the talent in that Cubs outfield, whether in the Bigs or on the farm. Like you said Davis is a wild card and has to prove himself health wise first, but there are only so many outfield positions and the Cubs have some solid ones, or ones they really like, already in the majors. I’ve seen too many talented players get stuck in the minors during prime years waiting for a shot. I think the Cubs will find a way to get these guys on the field, but it may not be an every day role to start.

    Slaughter had a good 2022 season at AA. Yet this is the only place I've heard of himbeing in anyones top 10. This guy ranking PCA too low. Maybe overating Canario, who looks like a smaller version of Dave "Kong" Kingman

      I was hoping with Slaughter that he had started making a transition. He is pretty big, so it’s nice to see the power come along this year. The best things I saw in him this season was that drop in strikeouts (even with 41 more at bats) & the fact that he more than doubled his walks this season, gives me a hope he is starting to put it together. With his speed and the power coming along and the fact that he has a much easier path to the majors than the stacked OF in the organization. I do think PCA will be a much bigger deal moving forward, the concern as I had said was the stacked outfield the Cubs organization has both in the bigs and in the minors, plus PCA numbers have dropped off a little as he has moved up (which is to be expected with any player). PCA’s defense is going to be the difference maker right now. I think with another season under his belt, he’ll be able to leave a huge mark. He’s only played 107 games total in the minors, so a few more games wouldn’t hurt him. Canario is similar to Slaughter, I don’t know so much if they are finally putting it all together or just had a solid lucky season, but they both have the potential for big things, just like I think PCA will do next season (not that this season wasn’t great).

    Porter Hodge? IVE seen his name but not anywhere near a Top 10 list. PCA plays CF which makes him more valuable. His glove alone is GG caliber, and every scout I've read says even at A ball he's the best defensive player in the system. Devers doesn't throw hard enough to be Ml caliber.

      Hodge definitely came out of nowhere this season, but is climbing the Cubs prospects lists. He made some great adjustments and got in a lot better shape and it has paid off for him and for the Cubs. I agree completely with your assessment of PCA, his defense makes him standout, and now, at the end of the season, I would put him a little higher on the list. Devers has just been pitching well. He finds ways to win (at least this season), he doesn’t walk a lot of batters and he keeps people off the base paths. He may not strikeout a ton of guys, but he has been getting people out, which is what you want. We’ll see what next season brings for him.

      I am working down alphabetically, so I will definitely get there! Hoping to knock a few out a week. Colorado Rockies are up next! Let me know if there’s anyone you want me to cover on the Giants.

      Fair enough, I respect that. Like my mom always says, "life's too short to eat bad food." Hopefully one of my other videos, or a future video, will be more to your liking. If not, thank you the feedback, it is always appreciated and needed.

      @@cabscards4756 Tyler Santana is not even on the Cub's top 30 prospect list

    • @cabscards4756

      I try to not always stick to the Baseball America Top 10 list or MLB Prospect rankings, those would leave a lot of hidden talent out of the spotlight and would just not be beneficial to those trying to dive a little deeper into teams. I appreciate all the content and lists out there, but these are just the list of players that I put together and may be a little different than everyone else's top 10 lists. If we all stuck to the same lists on here, or if all those top 10, 25, or 50 lists were 100% correct every year, there would be no need to even rank players or maybe even play minor league games. The guys that I think are top 10 to keep an eye on, are my opinion and I apologize if it doesn't stick 100% to MLB Prospect rankings or Baseball America. That's part of the beauty of this sport and of these lists, that anyone can find success even if they are not a top 10 prospect. I hope I can highlight that moving forward.

    PCA should be wayyyy higher on this list. He does have base autos and everything up from there in 2020 draft

    • @cabscards4756
      @cabscards4756  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Talent wise, I think Crow-Armstrong is definitely in their top 3 and my only concern with him was that I just wanted to see a few more games under his belt, against higher talent. I know after he got called up to High A he hit .220 for that first month (June) in South Bend. So I was hoping to see a little more games under his belt, before putting him higher. I love his swing and I don't think he is going to have as big of a problem navigating any logjams ahead of him, with his talent, as some of these other guys. But you are definitely correct on there being a base auto from 2020 Bowman Draft, so that should give a better entry point for people hoping to get in on his cards (of which I am one).

    Owen Caissie should be on here imo

    • @cabscards4756
      @cabscards4756  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Caissie has a good set of skills, with decent pop and decent speed. The only concerns I had with him are the fact of how talented the rest of the OF in the Cubs farm system are, and the slight fall off he has had as he moved up through the ranks. It is definitely understandable, as most players struggle to adjust in the beginning of a call up, but his average took a hit when he moved up to Single A last season and his OBP has fallen off since he made the move to High A, even after falling from Rookie ball. I just think he needs a few adjustments to get that OBP back up and is definitely tall enough to pack on a few more pounds and add some more power. He should develop, but may run in to a little bit of a logjam with those players ahead of him.

      Cassie is a poor defender. Either he shifts to 1b or ends up as a zDH. PCA Davis Alcantara seem. To be the OF at. Wrigley circa 2025
