    Nice addition Jake. As you know I also have a part time landscape maintenance business. I love the fall weather but dread seeing the leaves coming down!

      Doing leaves this way makes it a bit more tolerable!

    Love it. I've been thinking about modifying my 9HP Little Wonder blower to work on 3 point. Then I thought How much exercise I'd be missing out on by not walking behind it. Get lots of steps in! Plus I like being able to work between wood piles, buildings, and trees, and I don't think the Kioti would be able to do that. But maybe I could get 2 blowers! One for the 3 point and one for a walk behind!

      I initially used a 9hp little wonder and it worked well. Yeah I just use this for the big areas, the backpack works well to get all the little areas pushed out to where I can use the big blower.

    I have a DR leaf vacuum and it works great . You pull it with a tractor. I don’t have to rake leafs anymore

    • @DudeRanchDIY
      @DudeRanchDIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      The DR leaf vacuum was the first piece of equipment I ever bought brand new when I was about 14. Worked very well but I no longer have a garden tractor that could tow it and it would get heavy even for my 23hp tractor I had at the time.

    Is there any skid steer mounts that you could put on the blower so you can put it on the front loader? You would have to get some longer throttle and airflow cables, but it would free up your 3 point hitch and be a little bit easier to put on and take off the blower. Just kicking an idea around and take care.

    I'm definitely interested in something like this. I was just saying how I wish I had a 3 point blower for my 1025r or a walk behind mower because walking my yard with the back pack blower is getting old really fast. A 3 point blower is definitely out of my price range, but an old walk behind blower modified could do the trick. Let me know what you come up with. I work in southwest CT so I'm in the area.

    I left about 10% of the leaves the last three years, a light coating. lawn has never been greener, fuller and with less weeds.

    • @DudeRanchDIY
      @DudeRanchDIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      Did you mulch them or leave them whole?

    • @vincedee6607
      @vincedee6607 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DudeRanchDIYmostly mulched. I just left everything after the final mowing. And what ever fell after that.

    I’ve been thinking about doing this since we moved into our house last December. I just can’t seem to find a used push blower for a decent price that isn’t completely clapped out.

    I have an Agrimetal BWT-150 that is a tow behind blower with a 14HP Kohler that we use to blow off our 1600' driveway through the forest. Works great, but it's honestly limited in what you can do with it. I think it was marketed for golf courses. Discontinued now I see.

    • @DudeRanchDIY
      @DudeRanchDIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      Those would be great for that application, would be a pain in the ass for my lawn having to back up a trailer.

    I made my own very janky looking version (yours is a lot nicer) out of an old used 8hp little wonder blower. Worked great but the blower is a pain to get started so I haven’t used it lately. A simple kit would be great

    • @DudeRanchDIY
      @DudeRanchDIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha my first version with the 9hp little wonder sounds similar to yours. I think a kit would help a lot of tractor owners.

    • @DudeRanchDIY

      The atv would tear up the grass a lot more

  • @brianpuckett137

    Why not carry it on the forks or something?

    • @DudeRanchDIY
      @DudeRanchDIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      Much more difficult to keep close to the ground on the forks. When on the 3 point hitch I can drop it all the way to the ground and it “floats” behind the tractor moving up and down as necessary.

    If there was only a way to power that leaf blower off of the tractor instead of a separate motor...
