Great video. The last one was the prettiest. I've been wanting some Pan Pastels for a long time. Maybe after my daughters 18th birthday next month. I can get myself a set of them. All my money is going toward her bday present. She's wanting one of those Wacom drawing tablets that are like $650.00 or more.
Paletteful Packs had two pan pastels in their June box. I went ahead and ordered a basic starter set of pan pastels. The colors I got were red, ultramarine blue, hansa yellow, green, burnt sienna, titanium white, and black. I think it was burnt sienna. It was an earth tone. I hope to learn how to use them.
They are excellent as base layers on paintings then using Pitt pastel / pencil pastel on top for details. That’s why I’m curious about these because I would be interested in blending the gold and copper on a lion piece I’m doing but I wonder if it would show through or be pointless. I wish companies made metallic pastel sticks, that would be beautiful lol.

Wonderful! Just play and have fun! You'll find your own way to use them. :)
