Viktor is absurdly lucky kento got injured, before injury kento was 13-1 against viktor

After Viktor’s ankle surgery in 2020 his win % drastically improved, Viktor said his ankle has bothered him for some time so there is got to be some truth to it. Since that ankle surgery players like Shi has never beaten Viktor until this year, and Shi has beaten prime Momota. Now I am not saying post surgery Viktor would definitely turned the tide against a prime Momota because now we will never know, but when people making excuses for Momota, let’s not have double standard, Viktor was not completely healthy either.

@@greybo4034 maybe, who knows, every one is a little different, but what is for sure is Viktor should be in the decline, he is 30 now, even the great LD didn’t win world championship or the Olympics after 30.

@@Phat-rj3jothat’s a terrible argument, kento started smoking victor since 2014 unless you believe victor ankle injury was active for 6 years that’s an terrible excuse. Kento has also been injured during there matchups a few times, but I’m not making the argument for slight injury every single player deals with(ie even grounds) I’m saying kento consistently beat viktor before he got into a terrible car accident, which is significant almost career and almost life ending accident
No one is saying it’s victors fault kento got injured you play who you play but it’s a undeniable fact kento was way better than victor pre car crash. It’s pretty much lcw career if Lin Dan got injured
Saying every player isn’t healthy when comparing the injuries every player deals with to kentos almost career ending car crash is absurd logic and is deflecting the argument

@@Phat-rj3jo Viktor himself mentions there is just no way to beat kento during that time.. shi was actually the only player tht came close to kento even then and sometimes even antonsen.. Viktor never really had a good 2019 but post lockdown viktor was unbeatable

Sorry to say, but he should have stayed away from Tago. Tago himself was surely one of the most gifted players himself, but mentally unstable and rather toxic influence on Momota, eventually. So sad!

Tago was arguably more talented but not to the point where Momota couldn't surpass him. Tago is, unfortunately, the most undisciplined singles player I've ever seen make top 10.
