You should definitely do a part 4! I enjoyed learning about the young farmer loan being a young farmer!

Great info ! I’m sharing this with our son . They are closing next week with an FSA loan on 150 acres in Kansas . I’ll have him reach out to farm credit for his next purchases.

Do these programs work if you have a job outside the farm ? Great content man, very helpful!

Absolutely they do. Most of the people utilizing them have jobs outside the farm I'd venture to say. Thank you for watching!

So I plan on calling and looking into it but do you know if you can qualify for the growing forward program if the farm will be a secondary income source? Basically the plan on having an operation similar to your cousin but growing it to a full time operation.

I think you will still qualify! But I can't say with 100% certainty. Give em a call at farm Credit, they'll gladly help you out!

What if you just bought a farm but need money for cattle and tractor and suck equipment

That's a great question. My next video will be on exactly that!

Fsa told me I had to have 50% of the total loan value in collateral on the beginning farmer loan and then I nearly lost everything over a dead cow I don't recommend them at all

Wow! 50% of value in collateral... that is awful. It wasn't like that when I did it thankfully.
