How much do the 6' over forks take away from being nimble and able to handle well in the curves? And is there something that can bring it back to handling better, after putting those on? Also, I don't know much, about compression ratios. I wanted to get a 1275 kit on at least one of my 2003s, but a couple people told me that I wouldn't want that, for a daily rider, because it takes away from reliability, because of the high compression. What's a good compromise for a compression ratio, for reliability and performance?

If your going from 883 to 1200. Best bang for the Buck and value of the bike.I would go with dished pistons and cylinder kit. $700?. The 1275 kit $2500? Head work, cams, carb, ignition.reliable but costly.

Hi Sven, the 6 over forks definitely let it come up easier. She will pull the front wheel with no clutch dumping. It has the following mods Mikuni 42. Great throttle response compared to the CV. Andrews N6 cams. They come alive in the upper rpm’s.Dyna 2000i ignition set for single fire, and twin fire 2 coil. Branch flow metrics heads ported and polished with larger intake and exhaust valves. Screaming eagle roller rocker arms and tappets. 1200 cylinders bored to fit .010 over Axtell angle top pistons set at 9.4 to 1 compression. It used to run 30 degree dome tops at 10 to 1 but I wanted a little more reliability for the road. The stock 27 front pully really makes it quick not fast. I might go with 29. Thanks for asking, any other questions or thoughts and I will gladly answer.

Thanks! Did the 500 mile oil change, everything looked great. I figured it was time to hammer on it! So far so good.I’m starting to trust her.
