The people in the deaf culture are beautiful on the inside and outside, and they appreciate so much from what I see. Yet, us hearing people take everything for granted.
Such an effort to help deaf community......i just started to love deaf people....i'm still new in educating the deaf students.....they are very potential
I loved working in retail especially at Toys 'R' Us, easiest job ever (first job too). The surprise look on customer faces when I start talking, priceless.
This is really interesting to me. I have noticed this sign language are not from America. I'm having a hard time to understands what they were saying. Anyway, I really impressed with this video about many deaf people have many professional occupations as their permanent job. I must to say this is very fortunately for those people who really depends on their lives while we, here, are struggling to get ANY job. Hearing people are mostly lack of understanding about us. That is what stopped us! SAD!
Some hearings people are selfish and stubborn about deaf people are looking for job. They throw application out if deaf apply a job. That's horrible! I would like to know if hearing is looking for something a deaf approach to hearing needs something deaf would say no! How do you feel about this? You need to stop negative about deaf. Hearing and Deaf are equals. That's end of story!
which now makes me more comfortable with maybe saying yes if i have to as a cashier. I've never had a paying job and i'm 25. I started looking when I was 16 but no one ever hired me. I"m HOH and wear hearing aids. But i now have a diploma as a CSW so really I wouldn't want to be a cashier.
BRITISH SIGN LANGUAGE_ wow- I recognize the 2-handed finger spelling--I''m an interpreter- I use American Sign Language- - Both (Speak- English but the sin languages are soooo different!!!) Proof Sign Language Isn't UNIVERSAL!!!!, even if the hearing people SPEAK the same language! Excellent idea for the kids!
Thank you for sharing this important to advocay with Deaf people international
