Love your comment about the top knot on the rig... "Get off the forums and get fishing"... I have tied almost that exact same thing many times with successful results and no rig failures. The only thing I did different was stretch a very short piece of Lumo tube over the top Snell. I like your "No wank factor" approach.👍
Great vid mate. I know you got a boat but do you ever go rock fishing? I went to Fingal Head the other day, 3 x 4.0 gangs with pillie and 60gr sinker, really want to catch a tailor. Got swept back to the rocks and lost 2 rigs in 10 min. Someone told me no sinker, just let it float. Would you be able to do a vid on rigs etc. If you can please for this sort of situation? Would be much appreciated. Coffee coming your way.
Nice video and information plus advice, what was that for the line protector you put on, is this simply something i can find at a fishing supply store like Dicks sports or Acadamey sports.
If you had to adjust the sinker size on the day, does this mean you have to retie your knot at the top of the leader, or would you ever use a splitshot?
Hi mate unfortunately you need to retie your leader every time you do a sinker change, a fixed in place split shot won't work for this type of fishing/rig.
Yes mate this float line rig would be perfect for that just take the sinker off and let the bait float down slowly. I use this rig in all depths (10 to 90 metres) I adjust the sinker size according to the depth. Good luck mate.
@@zzbky9093 Yes mate this rig works well with live baits. Put the top hook (The one the sinker and bead sit on ) through the mouth and the bottom pin lightly through the tail area. Good luck.
You are going to fast in your presentation a person that doesn’t know what to do will be confused 🤔. Use color line or get someone to video you other than that your ok
Brilliant mate, your videos are tip top and much appreciated.
You are very welcome mate.

Thank you mate. I will do a video on some rock fishing rigs soon.
Nice👍 lumo tube is a good idea mate
Thanks 👍
👍
Thanks for the great vid!
An how- to on how to spool a spinning reel for both braid and mono to prevent line twist would be good.
A great idea thanks mate. May I ask which reel you are getting line twist with. Is it a bait runner and what brand of line are you using?
@@ShannonsFishing Thanks for the reply.I’m just getting into fishing so no expert .
Hey Mate, great vid. Just confirming this rig can used for live bait? Cheers, J
Yes mate it can. Good luck buddy.

Thanks mate. The protecter tube I use is just a thin soft 1 mm lumo tube you can buy from most tackle shops. Good luck mate
Thanks for the video.
When your changing ur sinker to suit the current do u cut it off at the FJ braid knot?
Yes mate you do but I tie an Albright knot it is a lot quicker to tie.
Can cut bait be used on this rig
Yes mate you can just make sure you cut the bait into a strip long enough for both hooks to go in.
Thanks mate great info.
Thanks Buddy I hope it helps you over Snapper season.
What would be the 6 most common leader sizes for fishing outside that you would use?
30 and 40 pound in supple for float lining and lures. 60 and 80 pound in a hard for live baiting and bottom bashing. Good luck mate.

Nice rig mate, what depth do you normally use this rig in? Would it be possible to use in shallow around 3-5m?

@@ShannonsFishing thanks mate, would a love bait be possible on this rig? If so do you go too hook to mouth or bottom?
