After the success of the last two section videos here is my reaction to the latest Deep Purple release.
I am not claiming this music as mine simply reacting to it. For the official release and without the bloke talking over it, please go here: • Deep Purple - Lazy Sod...
With thanks to EAR Music who tirelessly allow me to produce videos about this wonderful band!

Great review Nick....Also a big Purple Fan and i have to admit that McBride was maybe one of the best decisions they made! I really really enjoy every song with him- really lookin' forward to the album....great singles so far....Who would've thought that they open a "new chapter" in 2024...unbelievable...love that band!!! Greets from germany

Roger still has the blues beat. He doesn't play super fast notes like the old days. Very much Deep Purple. IT'S FRICKIN GREAT!~!~!!! Good review mate.

Another great video, Nick. What a sick song; love that first min-bridge and how they extend it the second time around, plus... just two choruses! Who says you have to keep repeating those to get an ear worm. All this and two guitar solos and two keyboard solos, all in less than 4 minutes. What a band.

Yes, the riff remind me to: "Give Me All Your Love" (Whitesnake) and "Mean Streak" (1984), it's a good song!

In the 70s & 80s , DP was one of my top five, along with Yes, Uriah Heep, Rush & Black Sabbath.

From what I have heard it's much more back to Blackmore era writing style.

Sounds like the good old D.P. I grew up with 70s & 80's.

Great analysis Nick (as always). Love these reaction videos you've done for the last 3 Purple singles. Deep Purple still kicking ass in 2024. Love it.

Hi Nick, that keyboard intro bit that you thought sounded like it was from the "In Rock" album, is actually reminiscent of "Mandrake Root" from the first album, "Shades Of Deep Purple". 💜🎵🎶🎶🎶.

Fantastic song and still as quintessentially Purple as anything from Ritchie's days in the band. What impresses me is that they still tour and put out new albums and aren't just resting on their laurels and past glories. As sad the reasons were for Steve Morse to leave the band they have a top notch replacement in Simon McBride.

Although Jazz is my first love, I've always been a Deep Purple Fan. It was my favorite band in my teen years, the 1970s. I stopped paying attention to Rock and Roll in 1985 when I stopped playing music for a living. I haven't bought very much new Rock at all since then. But, I actually love the latest lineup of Deep Purple enough to buy an actual Rock album.
