i was led away from church, starting with energy, astrology, laws of attraction and yoga and then after 10 years, i was doing tarot and african spirituality, hoodoo. it started innocently and i never denounced God or the power of Jesus, but i was picking and choosing the things that resonated with me until i felt so heavy and scattered. i wasn’t looking for anything, these spirits and info was coming to me and i felt like it was a way to connect with my ancestors and something bigger than me, something that could fight for me and protect me. this year, i started feeling conflicted and hearing God’s voice more and more, that He didn’t want to share me. I was praying to God and like 10 other deities every time i prayed. after years of this, i felt drained. i felt bad for giving anything else glory that belongs to Jesus. and looking back, i can see that everything i was involved with, every relationship was dark and toxic during this time i was away from christianity. it seemed like i was “free” but in actuality i was in hell. thank jesus i’m free.

Some Christians confuse being emotional and loud as having more power and authority over the spiritual realm. Whereas someone like Stephanie, soft-spoken and goofy as she is, could be so highly anointed and able to demonstrate spiritual authority over darkness more effectively than all the noise we witness in our churches today. I'm so tired of all the screaming & kicking in our churches, and yet showing little or no demonstration of God's Power at all.

      Read Hebrews 6: 4-6
Moreover the fact that you've heard from God or are deeply rooted in him does not mean you cannot still breakaway from him.
It doesn't matter if you've seen angels before.
You can still fall from grace even if you are a pastor or prophet.
So it is possible to walk away or break away from God.
Every brunch in God that does not bear fruit is taken off irrespective of whether you've seen Jesus or not.

I have a friend who was angry at God because she was angry God didn’t protect her from her rape that led to pregnancy as an innocent twelve year old. Even though she is healing now and back to God. It wasn’t easy for her. Saying people leave because they were not connected is myopic.

I was adopted by an Indian Hindu father and a Catholic mother. My ancestry is Caribbean but God has taken me out of both sets of patents. The idol worship and types of sorcery that occurred in the Hindu religion was real and I have had to experience deliverance from things pertaining to that. I know the supernatural is real. I would not be alive if it were not for an encounter with Christ whilst I was practicing Buddhism (which he showed me was a pursuit of a false peace). He is the Prince of Peace and the only one who can save us out of the schemes and traps of the enemy.
I have dreams where God helps to give me guidance and discernment to avoid deceptive people. I have seen and experienced a lot. This video speaks loudly to me- I resonate it with it so much.

@Mizar0464 What's more enslaving than being snatched away at will to be slaughter to the gods because they commanded it? How many virgins and pregnant women do you think have been sacrificed because the idols asked for it?
They took all that and yet they joined forces with looters to pillage and strip the Black race of its honour. They failed those who worshipped, served and sacrificed to them.
Unlike Christianity that has the Bible, it is whatever the priest says as the mouth piece of the idols.
      Besides, those idols OWE me.
I have an axe 🪓 to grind with them, and I need a Power Higher than them to back me in getting what they stole from my ancestors.
Call it personal vendetta, but it is what it is.
They are supposed to be messengers of Elédùmarè The Supreme God, aren't they? Or didn't your African Spiritualists tell you that?
Why are they now flexing muscles against His creation?
My personal experience with them has not being a good one.

Mind blown.. thank you for this. As an African American and Mexican American woman, I have always sought to connect with both of my cultures through years of rejection and identity issues. Out of ignorance and a desire to “embrace” “my cultures” I started looking at keychains that represent where my people are from. Some of the items selected I felt instant conviction. I couldn’t understand why. I honestly thought, let me not be so religious. I’m a believer in Christ and he knows my heart. What I realized is the enemy knows my void. He’s deceptive. I felt the Holy Spirit lead me to look into the history of some of these symbols/artifacts I was looking to have as keychains from both of my African and Mexican heritages. I couldn’t believe what I learned. I praised God for showing me that in search of filling a void I was starting to dabble in things I truly did not understand. Though I love both of my cultures and am proud, I belong to Christ above all and this message Pastor Stephanie, has truly added a next level of understanding I praise God for. Thank you for your obedience, thank you for teaching more in this. ❤

I'm so glad I watched this ,I could relate with this in so many ways ...I got married to my husband (South African)and they believe that they are Christ followers but also appease their cultural tribe ancestors..Out of ignorance I had no idea because myself was just a church goer when my eldest son was born they asked for his umbilical cord that fell off and said we are going to introduce him to our ancestors into the family.. God disrupted my life 3 years ago and I gave my life to Christ, before I left for the UK the Holy Spirit told me to dedicate my eldest and I took him to church, they prayed for him and dedicated him ...I have been declaring that my children belong to Jesus. When I gave birth to my second born ,on the day he was born the Devil tried to paralyze me but thank God I am walking..I asked the hospital to dispose the umbilical cord for my second son because I'm like nope ...not again . My son is 3& a half and he hasn't fully developed in speech but I keep making sure that I pray with him and declare that he belongs to Jesus and I got baptised this year and made a faith declaration that as for me and my house we will serve the Lord ...

African Paganism is not some far, distant, forgotten practice that most people have left behind. My pastor just this week said, “thank God for campus fellowships and youth churches. Most of us weren’t raised in the church, we were raised with idols”. This man is Gen X. There are Millennials who are still trying to break those wicked ties their parents made.
It’s all fun and games until you try to disassociate yourself with those evil spirits and see what happens. Even after you’re saved. I know so many Africans that have been trying to warn black Americans. They tell us we have a “slave mentality”. We’re slaves to the right kingdom at least 🤷🏾‍♀️

But Gods presence was there in such a tangible way, that’s what kept me sane. In fact my faith in God grew the most in those years when my life was ‘falling apart’. And now he is rebuilding it at an accelerated pace, and there is no better feeling than knowing that my life is now built on a firm foundation -JESUS! Now praying for the rest of my family to see the light.

Coming out of these family ties MUST be done but with full understanding of the power in the blood of Jesus....because the devil doesn't take it lying down.
My family from both my father and mother's sides have these issues but we chose Christ and ooooh the backlash!!!!
We had to KNOW our God in order to do exploits!! And also understand what Christ really did for us on the cross.

I get exactly what Pastor Stephanie is saying. Speaking from personal experience, my dad's family practices African Spirituality, yet they also believe that they believe in God of the bible. I was born in Zimbabwe, grew up using water with herbs and stones to "protect" ourselves. We moved to the Uk when I was 12. The week before we left Zimbabwe my brother and I went to our family's village to say our goodbyes to our partenal grandparents, and the day we left the village my grandparents kneeled on the floor to pray to our ancestors and he was saying things like "our children are now going, don't say we never told you, please go with them" then when he finished he asked us to Ululate (like a celebratory sound usually practiced in southern Africa). Not only that, my partenal family (I say this because my parents are no longer together) practices bringing back the spirit of our deceased family members back into the family in order to look out for the family, and they are actually planning to do it this August for my uncle who passed in 2017. I say this to just say how grateful I am that I found Jesus and he rescued from this darkness. My dad knows how I feel and respects that I won't take part in it. I pray for them all the time and hope that they will repent and find Jesus before it's too late.
P.S, the fact that the bible was written in Hebrew (old Testament) and Jesus' name before translation was Yeshua (Jesus) Hamashiac(messiah or Christ) should easily debunk this "white Jesus" theory, because why would he have a Hebrew name?

I pray for their salvation sis, like you said before it is too late. God has delivered me from so much and completely transformed my life. His hand and blessings are so evident!. As an African I can attest to the story Pastor Stephanie gave. This happens all the time. African spirituality isn’t a liberation movement it’s bondage. It is only the blessing of the Lord that makes rich and adds no sorrow. The devil will always make you pay 100000000% interest of whatever he gives you. Us Africans need to be more open and honest about the truth so that our brother and sisters who are curious understand the dangers of dabbling in it.
And anyone who “leaves” Christ for anything else never really knew him in the first place. This is 💯 true. There is no way you know that as a Christian you win in Christ always in every battle and you knowingly leave a winning team to join an eternal loser. It means you never caught the message of the gospel in the first place.

This was so good Pastor Steph. As I was listening all I kept thinking was that "I feel seen because someone else gets it". I was quite downhearted yesterday thinking about how my Christian life has mostly been on the battlefield, a complete war zone because of my background. I have not experienced the kumbaya, honeymoon phase of Christianity. On day 1 in 2018, I was instantly thrown into warfare and its been combat since. So many supernatural experiences but in the midst of it all, I have really seen the hand of God. He fights for me and enemies are defeated in the name of Jesus. Hearing more of your story and seeing where you are at now is so encouraging for me! It is a testimony of the power of Jesus and how those who trust in Him will not be disappointed. You are walking in purpose, serving the Lord, in a kingdom marriage with a baby on the way, all testament to what Jesus does. He redeems and He restores! He gives people like you and I who were otherwise hopeless because of the demonic practices of our families a second chance. He gives us a shot at life (both here on earth and the age to come) and all the blessings of God that come with it. To me that is a truly sobering and humbling thought. Without Jesus, I would have been doomed. Praise the Lord for his finished work on the cross and for his precious blood which has redeemed me from the unprofitable ways of my forefathers (1 Peter 1: 18-19). I want to say a big THANK YOU to pastor Stephanie ❤️ This series has been such a revelation and confirmation to so many truths that I've come to realize in my own life. I am South African 🇿🇦 and so much rings true. Just last week after part 4, specifically about partaking in the meal and how it symbolises coming into agreement with the beliefs and practices of that home. Made me do some introspection about the times I have attended neighbours and family who have had a ceremony (where a cow or 2, even goats are slaughtered) in the name of ancestors. Here ancestors are exalted more than God and God is viewed as "a thing" that lives at the church that you only visit on Sundays for about an hour. Then rest of the week is dedicated to offering sacrifices to the ancestors in the hopes that they show favour on you and "light up" your path in life.
Being someone who was diagnosed as epileptic at the age of 3 with no known causes. I grew up with external voices saying it is so because I need to do a certain ritual to the ancestors. Now that I'm an adult who sometimes experiences VERY vivid dreams, they say it is a calling to become a "sangoma" or a priestess to the water spirit (I guess because that's always involved).
But what I hope for is that more people hear this message and experience this series because it really shines a bright spotlight to the enemy's evil ways. That we all turn to prayer and ask for a discerning heart so we can learn to hear God's voice and His character. 🙏

Thank you for your obedience. This video shed light on my own “cultural” practices as well in the Haitian community. The spiritual world is so real and we as believers need deliverance, renouncing and denouncing everything that is on our blood line from the enemy to become the repairers of the breach. God is raising up his army and thank you for answering HIS call with this series.

It’s funny how you mention we will just “stumble” across people from Africa on our journeys.. and you’re that person! I just discovered you from this video and I am blown away.
About a month ago, I converted from New Age/African spirituality to Christianity. It was because even though I manifested absolutely everything I wanted in life I was still so sad and empty. I came across a video of a woman who shared her story about converting from New Age to Christianity and it absolutely opened my eyes. Then all of these other new videos began popping up. Eventually I bought a Bible and completely surrendered to Jesus. That was the moment I FELT him and his love and IMMEDIATELY that void I felt my entire life had been filled. Just like that. And it hasn’t gone anywhere. It’s a deeply secure feeling that seats me comfortably in my own body. I can’t see myself walking away from this feeling.
I grew up in a Christian household but had so many questions that were poorly answered or not at all. My main reason for walking away from it was because I could not follow a religion that was used to oppress my people, and I couldn’t understand why so many black people would still be ok with it even though we know this. Your explanation here flowed so well, naturally answered my every question as it popped up, and made complete sense.
In the short time I have put my faith and focus on Jesus and God my life had been blessed miles past what I ever could have thought to “manifest” for myself.
Your stories of spiritual encounters spooked me and I loved your prayer at the end..it made me smile in gratitude. You are truly doing the work and doing it well!

I am British of Nigerian descent and I totally relate to both Igbo and Yoruba (my tribe) having lived amongst both when I schooled in Nigeria. My great grandad was the high priest of a god. Some of my Dad's family still dabble with pagan worship alongside Islam. I became a Christian at 19 and had to go through a long series of deliverance!! The problem with our race is that they don't take time to do proper research, thanks for stating that Christianity existed before slavery. Even in the Old Testament, there was mention of Africans. Thanks for the reference to the scriptures, I will continue to share your channel. God bless you always.

As for "spiritual technology" 😂 I like that! Thank you so much for this series, you are speaking to something very relevant. As a South African seeing African Spiritualism (ancestral worship) keep so many of our people in bondage, I wish I could have this message resounding in every home where this is happening. In our own families there are rifts because of the clashing beliefs. But Glory be to Jesus, God is about to pour out His Spirit in a way that cannot be denied. The Blood will NOT be denied its power. It is NOT equivalent to any other, it stands in a class of its own and is incomparable. Glory to God!

Thank you Pastor Steph.💘This was so deep. Been dealing with spiritual warfare all my life. During the Daniel fast 2022, I prayed for God to reveal things that were connected to my life that were not of God. Then the Holy Spirit led me to renounce /denounce my sorority. I didn't even hesitate; I just did it and did my research afterwards, trusting the Holy Spirit on that decision. It all makes sense to me now because so many black people are tied to Greek organizations which is a time-consuming distraction. The enemy deceives college kids and younger teens, making these organizations appear to be good and all about community. Behind the scenes, but they don't realize their serving a false god at a man made alter. I didn't realize this until nearly 30 years later. Interestingly, some Christians, even pastors have this knowledge, but they refuse let go of that ungodly soul tie because it gives them a sense of prestige and power. Some even call themselves the light of the world, which we know isn't true. I guess that’s what the word means by, “For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” I choose the power in the name of Jesus any day even though that’s the not so popular narrow gate. This is one of the enemies’ tactics to blind, mislead and suppress black people spiritually. I would LOVE for you to hit this topic to open the eyes of our people. I'm afraid for their souls. Even though spreading that message is not my calling, I do share it when I can. However, I'm confident that you can deliver a lot of our people from that bondage, making it easier for others share the message to all who are caught up in that web of confusion.
When I opened TH-cam to watch this message the number 666 popped up on my unread TH-cam notifications. Stuff like that always happens to me. I guess the enemy was trying to scare me because he knew I was going to post something that will threaten his kingdom. Been through too much, so I'm no longer moved by the devil's schemes. LOL!!! Get thee behind me Satan!!!

@@psalmsmoving Glad this blessed you Sis...🥰 Funny but True Story... When I finished editing my book, which was Holy Spirit-led about autism, bullying and spiritual warfare; my cat jumped in my lap. All of a sudden, a bunch 6's just started typing across my screen all by its self as if I was holding the #6 key down, but I wasn't even touching my keyboard. I couldn't figure out how to stop it so I quickly unplugged my desktop because it was messing up my manuscript. I didn't hit save so I had to rewrite quite a bit. My cat started acting unusual and out of character by being aggressive and repeatedly tried to scratch me aiming at my face. I was convinced that the enemy was using my cat to scare me. 🙀When I tried to put him down, he kept clinging to me and wouldn't let go. I didn't know what the heck got into him, literally, so I knocked him off my lap and rebuked that spirit. But he kept distracting me with this weird sounding "meow." It just wasn't normal. Just Crayzeee!!! The thought, "animal shelter popped in my mind." LOL!!!😿 When I finally finished the e-book portion of my book that night, of all the numbers in the WORLD my page number ended at 666. CHiiiILE !!! (In my Sara Jakes Roberts voice) Talk about freakin' out ! Needless to say I adjusted my wording significantly to have a different page number. I had been through a real journey with so many obstacles trying to publish this book. I walk around my house 7 times EVERY DAY during my prayer time and around that same time a ~3 foot snake was in my path trying to block my walk. I realized the enemy was going whatever distance it took to scare me into not releasing my story into the world that he knew would help so many people. He really started getting into my mind because at one point I was too afraid to hit the publish button, but this was one of my assignments from God and I definitely didn't want to miss that mark. Once the book got out, I still deal with spiritual warfare, but in other ways. I just learned that I need to stay grounded in God's word and keep a sermon in my ear at all times because I promise you when the word says, "When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him.” BELIEVE THAT! So don't be afraid, just be aware at all times that if you're a Christian the enemy is always going to try to attack your mind because if he gets your mind, he’s got you where he wants you. But fortunately, God has equipped us with the armor of God, and the ability to fight back. Remember, the battle is not yours, it’s the Lord’s 2 Chronicles 20:15.🙏🏽

I see so many of us African Americans who try to connect with our roots dabble into African spirituality. Yeah, other cultures have gods or spirituality they serve, my thing is any god outside Jesus Christ is a demon and satan incarnate. And the African spirituality is more destructive because it’s held the continent in a hostage, and you can see the direct negative effect on Africans. The disturbing part is, many Nigerian “christians” are still practicing it and be the loudest to say how christian they are. You can’t serve two masters.

@kendalld93 dabble would indicate it does not apply to Christianity, as a person must engage with intent in order to be considered a Christian. Neglect (to engage) draws a person into the camp of idolatry. Additionally, "rituals" (traditions, customs, sacraments, rites, etc) are not terms that accurately describe the ordinance of humility that Christians engage in several times a year to commemorate the life Christ laid down for us, & our continued need to be cleansed from self in all its forms. Therefore, we cannot conflate practicing religious rtuals (better known as spiritualism or spirituality) with Christianity (the following of Christ).

@@kenid19 It depends what you mean by "rituals". If it's not of Christ or not of God then it's not good.
