I did art in college, and one of the modules was art history. And so as we were studying about African masks and all that, I met a guy who also knew about these masks and other African artefacts. We got into a relationship, and I had no idea how serious he took these things. For me, it was art, and history; but for him it was a lifestyle. I was introduced to these things but I never delved into the practise and I had no dedication to learn how they worked and it drove a wedge between us.. . I got stuck, struggled to get out, but the seed of the Word of God in me had not died and as God helped me revive my prayer life, I found a way out and took it. Praise God.

Omg! Im 6 mins in and this is confirmation on what the Lord was speaking to my spirit when I read 1 kings 18:21: Elijah went before the people and said, “How long will you waver between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him.” But the people said nothing.

This message series is so on time. I just want to thank God for this message of truth. The enemy is so deceptive and as a believer in Christ, some of these practices were creeping into my life. Zodiac signs, reiki, yoga/meditation, burning incense, sage, terror cards, the law of attraction for love and prosperity, breath work and crystals have been normalized in culture and it’s seen as peaceful. I began meeting others who were on “high vibrations or on the same frequency”, believing in a higher power, the universe, oneness and humanity. They also had an appreciation for nature and consciousness. I thought this was a pathway to mental and spiritual wellness. I was also listening to Bible sermons, Christian TH-camrs, Christian music, praying in my heavenly language while dabbling into new things that I thought were okay as a believer to incorporate in my walk. However, I had to repent. I didn’t realize I was participating in new age and opening myself up to the demonic influences. It all seemed harmless. But I believe holy spirit was covering me and began to lead me away from continuing these practices. I began reading the Bible and more truth was revealed. The book of Daniel helped me tremendously and the book of Hosea. At the end of the day, there is only one true living God, Yahweh. Thank you Jesus for your blood. He kept me from harms way. I pray others eyes are opened as well. 🤎 (I have been saved since I was a child. I should have known better, to some degree I did. But I still fell for the lie of the enemy, but for His grace God’s truth exposed the lie and saved me from the plan of the enemy which is to kill, steal and destroy.)
Thank God for believers like Stephanie who boldly preach the word of God even when it’s not popular, holiness isn’t popular, righteousness isn’t popular. It’s actually counterculture, again thank you for the word. All of the new age is performative. The salvation in Christ and God’s grace is freely given for those who believe.

My mother fell into this she was so deep in Astroprojecting,chakras, she even went to a spiritual guide for deliverance which she later found out was more witchcraft. I remember her telling me that I was “special” and I had good healing chakras. It makes me so sad to see that all my mother wanted was to be loved,happy, and fulfilled yet she was looking for it in the wrong places. I hope she truly found God before she passed. This is a powerful word. As a former witch now Christian I can testify to everything Ps Stephanie has spoken on. In fact, Ps Stephanie preaching has saved me so much and strengthened my understanding and wisdom of God outside of church. I’d turn on her sermons and often I’d hear her talk about witchcraft and divination and I knew God put that in my algorithm for me.
God is so good and merciful and there is no amount of joy that compares to what God has given me and continues to give me. All the witchcraft and sorcery I used to do - LAME compared to God! I hope this word blesses others who are after the truth. Jesus is our saviour and God loves you. 🤍
Hi. I had a question. You’re a former witch… in what sense?
I ask because I was dating a Reiki master and she worked alot with candles and would practice certain rituals. Worked alot with sage and crystals.
It didn’t work out for us. And I’d like to believe because I follow God and I consider myself godly. And she would attend church and pray to God, she said that God works through her.
Is that possible??
@@imbatman_79 Hi. To my understanding, there are a lot of health enhancing practises in the world that have adapted witchcraft or western methods that take away the essence of what it truly is. Reiki for example, and from what I understand, has positive benefits through massage, but if a person is implementing 'rituals' then it is 100% demonic. Often some people don't realise that it is demonic because it's witchcraft, self enlightenment, having power, is entrenched in the fabric of pop culture /societies exceptions that it just seems "normal".
I'd recommend reading the bible for further clarification, if there's nothing in there about God working through reiki masters then the obvious answer to your question is no. I'd also advise speaking to your pastor about it. :)

Befor I got born again,I was so hungry for God that I got myself into new age doctrines while I combined Christianity. I'd wake up at dawn to meditate with the new age sayings and sometimes pray in the name of Jesus as well.
I thought I was on the right path until I started having out of the body experiences,visions,burning sensations etc. My transition was so swift. The very divine things I wished for from God,I was getting them so fast little did I know it was counterfeit.
For me,God showed me MERCY and saved me from the lies of the enemy. He saved me,I felt His hug and I turned away totally from new age. Jesus saved me in my early stages and I can't thank Him enough..but I say everything was but for a reason because through that I now know those devices of the enemy and advice people about them.

A big struggle we as believers face in Hawaii especially if you are Native Hawaiian and have dedicated yourself to be a steward of our land and culture. The woman in Chennai goes to the temple to sacrifice her hair to her God because its the only thing of value that she can give because she's so poor. She says many prayers so that her sacrifice is acceptable. The business men buy the hair from the temple leaders. The same hair- blended / pure makes it to our heads...We buy it with the money that Our God blessed us with. Its ridiculous just thinking about it.

I think this is a topic that is very very very important for the world and the church right now. I agree with you on the deception behind crystals and sage. But I think that somatic release or somatic therapy may have been misrepresented to you. While in graduate school we learned a lot about somatics in our movement training curriculum, and in voice and speech. I wrote a few papers on it. And I’ve read about it in great deal. The shaking is not about manifestation but about allowing the nervous system to reset. And it’s not the goal, it’s something the body does in response to the way the person is holding a posture. The same way we shake on the last rep of lifting heavy weights. I can send you articles on the science behind it. Some people get stuck in a cyclical fight or flight response because of trauma, or even their history of childhood relationships. We know spiritually that everything has a root. And we also know we have a physical body, spirit man, and soul. Our emotional world is the interplay of the soul and body really. And feelings or emotions are only physiological events (chemical, neurological, and muscular) that our brain reads and interprets in a millisecond. So feelings are the interpretation of what is happening in the body. Example: sweaty palms, and elevated heart beat, and shorter breath and the brain thinks “im nervous”. The exercises in somatic therapy, or even somatic voice and speech work encourage the body to release tension, or repeated trauma responses even. Things that the physical body learned at the root and stores almost like a broken bone that doesn’t heal of untreated.The breathing aspect causes the vagus nerve to be stimulated, and aids in the parasympathetic nervous system to regulate. Meaning people are able to come to a place of homeostasis (middle ground; the norm) and out of fight or flight. It’s not evil or even spiritual. And it’s certainly not to replace or mimic deliverance. But it is DEFINITELY effective, ground breaking, useful and worth studying and sharing. God can heal us with a multitude of tools spiritual and medical
So perfectly stated. Everything is not demonic, simply because you are misinformed about it. God is still in the creation business and we are empowered through the resources God has gifted us with through people and inventions. At some point in time I am sure people thought airplanes and cars were demonic coming from the horse and buggy days. Things, herbs, energy healing, etc. is not demonic. It’s people who do things to confuse, control and harm others whether through physicality or mentality that we must rise above. 😊

I am someone who literally did the sage, did the candles, the full moon/new moon rituals etc. and still claimed to love God until I had an Awakening and seeing that God is enough.Jesus is enough. and when you use those things you're basically saying that God needs help which He does not because He is Almighty by Himself. I love and needed this series soooo bad I instantly started crying when you said to ask God in all humility to remove what isn’t supposed to be there. even yesterday I was writing in my journal and as I was writing my heart was focused on entitlement, ego, why I’m still in this situation but by the end I was like Lord it’s giving I’m the problem because where my heart is at isn’t aligning with what you are saying and im too focused on the end goal and not the process. Even my dreams are confirming in ways what would happen if I continue on this route and one was so real where in my dream my eyes started to hurt and I couldn’t see and the people I was with. I was with a dude I had a slight crush on and my current roommate and I couldn’t see and I kept saying hold on I can’t see I can’t see and knew that yeah this isn’t it. Even with all the hardships it’s being revealed that if I follow and continue in this path it’s going to give bondage but if I want true freedom and true sight I need to focus my time and my heart on God. Ohhh even when you talked about just making time for God in the morning, I’m seeing why it’s so vital and not just a check on my to do list and that I need to appreciate that time more and delve more into it and focus! The idea of crystals originally came from New Jerusalem, they were supposed to reflect the 12 tribes , which correspond to the Messianic prophecy about Jesus , which the stellar star mnemonic told, the demons counterfeit and manipulate due to 2 things , one man was given dominion here on earth, and two bearing witness to Jesus is the key to prophecy.
The earth responds to the Word of God and groans for the revelation of the children of God, the glory of God which fills the earth is trampled upon by those who try to enter the “you can be as gods” back door, rather than the actual “made in his image” One Door Jesus Christ.
The thing is however, the properties of crystals are due to their formation, just as the different musical notes and frequencies (color) of the suns light, are all meant to serve the creative Word of God, they are idolised by the demonic but not owned.
Nations worshipped the sun, but the different colors throughout the day ready plants for their cycles and our bodies for ours, we have such artificial lives today people need light therapy, and red light therapy blue light therapy are all based on the potential in Gods created order music was also used in the Bible to keep evil spirits away, for example David and Saul, the crystals are formed the way they are because the light which evaporates different minerals at different rates, the structure of the crystals radiates the vibration (for example quartz in microphones, other stones in a less audible way), the colors of light in these lamps which effect depression ,light is based on the circadian rhythms of the body effecting consciousness for the days activity, the incense , or oil terpenes from various plants in the earth have scents which also correspond to the various chemicals our bodies make, this was used as oil to heal along with prayer or to burn in incense along with prayer, this is biblical it does not belong to the new age or Satan. Nor their demonic method of using them for manipulation and spells.
When people use these things demonically , the process in which the body tries to warn of missing the mark by making us feel Bad, is instead reset to a new mark, they change our set point, that’s why the words used with them are supposed to be prayers for healing or thanksgiving etc. Because we will read the Word and the word will present vision which leads to adjustment, when these guys use it it’s pharmekia, they are acting as sorcerers rather than priests or godly elders.
Every medicine God has placed in the earth, whether sunlight producing vitamin D , or plant medicines or crystals, because the devil marks his territory on these things with idolatry and claiming them by giving knowledge without understanding , just because he does this, does not mean God did not create these things to prayerfully be used to thank God for his provision , each season the appropriate trees grow which contain foods to nourish the body, and these plants with aromatic oils can be burned , essential oils are not bad, let us not let the bad ignorant idolatrous example of the pagans make us miss the purpose and the glory of God, and it’s potential within his creation.

This was so good, thank you for sharing! It really opened my eyes that I need to spend more time in the Word. Especially the part where you said that you woke up one day after your consistent obedience and it felt like the throne room of God was in your room. The reward of us spending time with the Lord is so great and it takes us being intentional and obedient to Him for closer relationship. Instead of relying on our pastors, family, prophets but reading the word for ourselves and cultivating a real relationship with God.

This series was good. It was just unfortunate to listen to what you said about somatic release. I encourage you to familiarize yourself with the book “The body keeps the score” by Bessel Van Der Kolk. It’s an AMAZING book and has assisted me in aiding my clients through relief of trauma stemming from childhood into self inflicted adult trauma.
While I don’t do somatic work, I became a student of somatic therapy myself as an OIF Veteran needing relief from PTSD that didn’t require medicine.
Referencing the book above, our bodies hold onto everything that we experience if we don’t release it. Unlike animals that naturally shake their whole body post a stressful situation, humans tend to clamp down, close off, close in & hold on. Even if someone comes behind us and scares us, we clinch as we jump. It’s the total opposite of releasing.
That said, we can process things psychologically and still harbor the trauma in our body.
The movement that occurs through somatic release is opening and allowing the muscular system, tissue and nervous system to let go of said traumas & trapped/stagnant energy (hence the shaking) that later becomes cancer, fibroids, tumors and more since it isn’t an automatic response for us as humans. Well actually, it is naturally when we’re born but wanes with the ways of the world and human teachings.
My intent here is to request that you exercise research prior or caution in your ignorance.
You just may be interfering with what someone actually needs.
For me, somatic release stopped my nightmares and headaches that I was having as a result of PTSD from war. That then stopped me from drinking because I was trying to drink heavily so I wouldn’t remember my nightmares from Iraq. And while I love PT, Sarah & you, attending One LA didn’t heal me but I believe it’s because of my time I attended there I began to know and believe that God was my healer and I got put in alignment with what I needed which led to the somatic person to end my suffering. 💜 I was just hopeless. Suffering and hoping the VA could do something.
What you said is like a pastor telling a mentally ill person “the therapist are just praying over you. Don’t go to them.” Yet the pastor isn’t actually a therapist nor able to deal with the persons issues.

@@empoweredby_spirit thank you. It needed to be said. I worked with a program doing research for group therapy surrounding moral injury. I helped to structure and facilitate the the program. We took this to and I spoke at Princeton, Howard, Regis U, Georgetown U & Univ of Denver Colorado as well as the VAs in Denver, LA, Jersey & DC. Moral injury is defined as the “psychological, biological, spiritual, behavioral and social impact of perpetrating, failing to prevent, or bearing witness to acts that transgress deeply held moral beliefs and expectations. It was discovered that most people in jail or that chose military extremely young were acting from moral injury. While I was part of the research team, most of the people I came across that had suffered moral injury were suffering from molestation, parents, peers and church. Molestation was the most extreme as it’s more than a moral injury. The church tho, I think because they operate as they do, it may be easy to forget just how fragile many people are when walking through their doors as the people who operate the church too are human. But church yields many grey areas that for the brokenness, fragile, hurt, last leg folk walking in there may require people sensitive and knowledgeable and caring enough to handle it all.
The sadder part is most folks that fill our jail cells are moral injury sufferers. And the crimes they commit may only take seconds, to commit, it costs them years on their lives.
My sole point in my original comment was to mitigate more moral injury because as you can see in these comments, people are specifically asking Stephanie Ike what to do. They’re relying on her Bible, Spiritual and Christian knowledge to guide them through or about things that based on this particular video, she’s not fully educated on. That’s dangerous.
I can understand her points around other things in this video but that somatic release bit really should be edited out. It’s wrong and dangerous.
As a Nurse, I want to bring the revelation God brought to me about the body (Soma) and Somatic healing. I worked on a vascular ward and cared for patients who had amputations of limbs (legs, toes, arms) who would cry out in pain on the same side the limb was amputated , even if it was removed 20 years ago. They would describe the pain in detail similar to the pain they had in that limb before it was amputated. Medical Drs never understood this as they thought by removing the limb, pain would also leave . They would end up under a pain specialist physician who also worked with a psychologist as part of the team.In the end they were given medication to numb out their nervous system because although they no longer had the limb, their brain and nervous system kept a memory of it and it is known as phantom limb pain ( phantom as in missing limb pain). Not all amputees experience this but phantom limb pain is a well known medical phenomenon. It is now more evident that the TRAUMA (memory created and attached) prior and post events (amputation) is stored in the nervous system.
God has led me on a discovery as FEAR indeed rules us as Christians so we are quick to throw out the baby with the bath water when we don't understand something.
Therapy was taboo many years ago in Christianity until recently when Christians started to get affected with depression, mental health illnesses and even seen suicides in the Church. It was the advent of this that caused us to start opening up to Therapy as a healing adjunct because being honest, not everyone will be healed miraculously in a Church service especially where their thinking is a causal factor to their illness.
I think I need to get back to doing my TH-cam video's again on some of these things.
As for Reiki , crystals and sage (they are a NO ,NO,NO) as they are all rooted in new age + occultic beliefs indeed.
I am suspicious of hypnosis. I dont understand it but I am not sure of it as good for believer's although I know a Christian hypnotherapist who loves God.

Im so glad for this message. Ive always known things like this are not of God, but i have friends that believe in that evil eye protection and bracelet jewelry crap. Ive been to scared to tell them not to believe and follow that especially when they call themselves Christians, but i will tell them and direct them to this video. Somatic release is a therapeutic technique that helps release physical tension and emotional stress stored in the body. Therapists use it to address psychological issues by working with the body's sensations and experiences. It helps connect the mind and body and aids in trauma resolution.
This one Stephanie definitely needed to do her research. A new age person doing Somatic healing will be different from a Christian Somatic healer.
The Lord revealed to me that one of my family members had a physical illness which was brought on by suppressing their emotional hurts , heartbreaks and pain. I got this revelation and I needed to understand more and God led me to books and teaching by Neuroscientists on illness caused by somaticising.

I've always been taught my my parents these things are wrong but the older I grew up, wanting to personalize my walk with God, wanting to unWhite-wash Christianity, wanting to get closer to my roots, I started questioning and enquiring further about these things. It really is super trendy to sage and I one point I believed it was okay. Although I have never engaged in these things, in my mind I had concluded it was okay.
