Awesome video Tacticangel, you never disappoint. So far, I’ve very much enjoyed playing the Peter Baratheon and have enjoyed effective games with it so far. The lack of radar is a big issue, with the armor scheme being the second issue. However those guns are the redeeming quality. Those things will wreck other cruisers, destroyers and some battleships as well. Cruiser play send to be the most complex part of the game given the varying opinions on both this and the Stalingrad. I think the play styles are very subjective, perhaps even the most subjective in this game. A cruiser is like a good shoe, it needs to fit just right for it to perform. But that’s just me.
Get the feeling this is gonna be one of those boats that will really "separate the men from the boys" to borrow the phrase. Even if you're halfway decent in cruisers, it'll test your patience, lol BTW, the breakdown on that big hit on the Algerie was slick... always appreciate the quality in these vids 😁
If you know how to play the Pensacola you should be fine. I have a 60 percent plus win rate in the Pensacola so I think I'll be fine with this ship for sure
I think there's a certain amount of truth to that, and Justin's not's exactly wrong. I think you can be a bit more aggressive (in some situations) versus the Pensacola, but it is definitely a ship that's going to require and reward a certain amount of finesse with a cruiser.
@@Justin-st5xv Hey man! So far I haven’t been able to figure out, how to get this kind of stats per ship. Can you help me with a hint? Also…: I kinda like the Pensa as well. She has hard hitting guns and I run her with Einstein and all the WD 40 in the world, to make those turrets spin faster.
Stalin gave Bagration's name to the great soviet summer offensive in 1944 (Operation Bagration) since Bagration was also Georgian like Stalin and died in the battle of borodino defending moscow against the french army.
Yep, which I did mention in passing. I tend not to go too far into the naming of ships, only to mention who they are named after and the 10,000 foot view of why they are historically interesting.
I actually like it. I get what you're saying but I think it's Superior AP penetration really helps out with cruises in particular. But yes the torpedoes are one off deter battleship weapons only. I use the original Russian Commander for the penetration angles.
I see no reason why it wouldn't. The only difference between Legends and PC in that department is that Legends entire history is supported by loot boxes (e.g. the commander system, even before all of the "collaborations"), so we are probably a bit more numb to it. I'm not sure how much different the Atago B or Kii is versus the Missouri conceptually... That said, both the Legends community and the CC's do have a better relationship with our CM's and folks like Philigula than it sounds like exists on PC.
I would say in most hands the Baltimore is a better ship. It has more utility because it has both Sonar and Radar. It also has even better penetration angles, so other than maybe speed (marginal) and torpedoes (which technically exist), the only advantage the Bagration really has is its armor belt, and that's mostly it's icebreaker.
Little question about history here, how far from reality are those Russian ship ? Because there is a lot of those project and i don't have a lot of knowledge in Russian navy, i just know that Sovietsky Soyuz made it to 48%... and is not in the game even through its not far from real And will you do a video on Stalingrad ? That Vauquelin spell wasn't that bad 👌
This ship, probably not very close to reality. Had Stalin lived longer, it's possible that a Project 65 cruiser would have been built, but this particular design was never selected as the design the Soviet navy preferred. Stalin preferred 152mm guns, which probably logistical and firepower advantages over 180mm (due to rate of fire), on top of the opinion holder being one of the most murderous tyrants in history. It's very possible they just continue with the 68-bis and try to up it's speed... so this one is very much a paper-only ship As for Stalingrad, I doubt I will make a video on it
@@tacticangel well in a 3 man division using the dd for eyes an cap of course you can utilize the kutuzov's smoke while raining down hell HE/AP melt down on ships, or possibly just a pure HE meltdown using EOP. Also between propulsion mod an throwing a ship in full reverse while turning vs the steering gear mod which do you think is better for turning a ship?
Siegfried is one of my favorite ships. Am I a maniac? Possibly, is it challenging and extremely unforgiving? Yes. Do I enjoy torturing myself? Possibly, I’m not sure. Could I pick any other ship and be more consistently effective? Absolutely. Will I stop playing this absolute dumpster fire of a battle cruiser? Haaaaaaiiiiiillllll no. I love rolling around a corner and stumbling into an enemy Georgia who B slaps me through my nose thus sending me into an emotional breakdown but it’s all worth it when I throw out 15 in AP, citadel your Iowa and laughing as I claim to be a “battle cruiser” and not a fast battleship. To put it shortly heHe GeRMaN GuN GO BooM
Very nice game that emphasizes actually what this ship was designed to do. Combat capitalist light cruisers!!, Anyway I think I will also use Makarov since he is neglected and needs a ship to head into battle. Great vid as always!
Thanks, ToxicBarf14! Makarov is definitely neglected, and I do like that you can make this ship work with him. That said, my only hope is to make a fair review that gives folks the best chance of making an informed decision.

As always a great review with a dry humour thrown in.
Glad you enjoyed it

Thanks, Tom, and thanks for coming out for the premier too!

Well said, TA. I completely dismantled my typical Kuznetsov build to make this ship work. Cost me resources to swap inspirations to boot.

Glad you like it, and good to hear I haven't totally missed the plot. 😀
Re ask q here, do you think the lootbox debate on PC will spillover into console?

Nice review Tactic!
I really enjoy Molotov at tier 5, but I may skip this one...we'll see if I have time to play that much...
If you get it, cool. If you don't, you're not missing a whole lot. I will probably build this one for AA when I earn her back.
Great video as always. 👍
How did you do the voice change? 🤔
It was Chilligamez17 a doing the introduction
Yep, that was Chili Gamez 17, another CC who I'm good friends with.
Do you think WG will add the Stalingrad to the bureau at some point down the road?
I would say "never say never" for almost everything. I have no special knowledge, but I don't think it will be anytime soon if you want my SWAG.
I feel like they could call this thing the Ivan Drago.
"Whatever (cruisers) he hits, he destroys"
It's not a great time being a Cruiser on the business end of this if you're not positioned for it.
Where are you?
On a competitive scale, does the big pyotr bag sit comfortably between the Baltimore and Alaska?

Just unlocked this... "handles like the Soviet Bloc". No kidding. I am using von Essen in mine.
Where are you cap?
Pair this with a kutuzov, and dd in a division and it be scary
Why do you think that?
