"Preaching, making disciples and what-not"? The what-not is obedience, 'teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you", according to Matthew's statement of the Great Commission. Yeah, I think we've lost some balance!
With as much love as I could possibly convey and with equal respect.........your opinion dose not matter. The mere fact that you are using human logic to figure this out means that you aren’t placing emphasis on the Word of God.
Ummmm...... The absolute unwaivering desire that I have for Christ and the gospel is also made known by the fact that, through knowledge and seeking His truth, am UNABLE to bend or 'let it slip past' when faced with false teaching, misconception, etc. I believe the opposite of the opening theme. To even remotely waiver or let things slip by and not be on our guard for such things shows weakness in His truth and an unwillingness to stand bold and solid in the face of mistakes in the teaching of the Gospel, etc. Our HEAD knowledge should be so deep that when the head hears falsity the HEART reacts.
too bad they''re lordship salvation, who is the guy in the middle and where does have the right to determine who only has "head knowledge"...having the head knowledge right shows the heart is changed, cause if the heart isn't changed by the lord then the head knowledge will be wrong, its God who changes the heart and reveals the truth, the HS reveals who christ is and his finished work on the cross, you don't focus on works, all religion focuses on mans works and all those people are lost, its only those who have had the gospel revealed to them that understand the doctrine of grace, those God has chosen to give eternal life to, no amount of trying to do this or that gets anyone closer to christ.
"It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking." Let's just understand and preach the whole counsel of God, and lead the flock to follow the Way, the pattern, the commands of Christ.
Was a huge help, would love to see a part 2/updated version!

It would be hard to share the gospel without loving God and Loving each other....

Self reliant or God reliant
The Gospel has been being preached...forever? What is Gospel-Centeredness? How are y'all any different from how many churches have been since forever?
