We should've never invaded Iraq.
Depends on your perspective. When Desert Storm started, it was because Iraqi forces were attacking Kuwait, who is an ally of ours, so naturally we help them defend against their enemy. The issue was when we destroyed the Iraqi government, killed Saddam without installing a successor and simply left without fixing our mess. We didn't destroy weapon caches so the remaining pissed off Iraqis tooled up and went back to their tribal living. We should've done our research before the second invasion though, considering none of the hijackers of 9/11 were from Iraq, but we invaded and worsened the situation anyway to the point we're at today
