Hey everyone, thank you for watching my video and hope it helps. Please note I am not as inactive as I used to be, so apologies if I don't respond or respond very late.
I have an NC750X DCT. Good points: Incredible fuel economy; Very easy to filter on it; Comfortable; Service intervals more akin to a car; Auto box is incredibly smooth; Pretty decent looks. Down side: Stupidly small fuel tank means even at 85mpg (I achieve this regularly with smooth riding) you won't see 200 miles before visiting the petrol station. I use the bike to commute up to 110 miles a day, mostly motorway (freeway if you are from the USA) with a few miles of town/city traffic. This bike is ideal for what I use it for. Not so sure about its suitability as a tourer due to the location of the fuel filler (under the passenger seat) and the limited fuel range. It won't see off many other motorbikes, but will easily see off most cars. I also have a 'Busa, so the thing to do is acknowledge what this bike is about before you commit to it. The DCT truly is so easy to ride with, and again, for what I use this bike for it is ideal. Helmet fits into the storage compartment, albeit a snug fit, and I find the gauges easy to read. Best of all the 'Busa is not piling mega miles on it and I enjoy the extra power on the occasions I now use it, which I actually find are becoming fewer and fewer....
I want this bike! I've been riding an old 600 for a while. This would be the perfect upgrade. The only thing is, i'd like the 750X but the NC700X's are alot cheaper. Seen some going for £3000 mark second hand. Opposed to 750X's around the £4500. I can't decide whether the 6/7bhps and slightly higher displacement will make that much noticeable difference. I specifically want the Automatic version as it just makes so much sense. It's almost like having a quick shifter only the whole bike costs a fraction of what a quick shifter bike costs haha ( only kidding.) Really enjoyed this video, very happy to support another UK vlogger! Cheers.
*+TobiasProtector* I would assume the NC750X would be decently better than the NC700X, however as you said, is it worth the extra cash? That price gap is quite a lot too. Unfortunately I have never ridden the 700X so couldn't say. Anyway, glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching! :)
3rd year and 10,000 miles on my NC700XD and I still love it. Everything about it is great. Yes, I wish it had more power but, truly, it doesn't need it. So much fun, slow or fast. I can hang with anyone who doesn't have a death wish (a.k.a. anyone over age 30) on this bike (very twisty, high-speed rural roads with severe elevation changes here in south-eastern Ohio). A perfect all rounder for the country roads or the super slab.
*+Vanguard1987* Coming up to my second year on my NC750S with 9,000 miles and I feel the same, it's just a fab bike to ride. :) S or X, whichever people go for, they won't be disappointed.
Hey, this is a really good review! Too bad it hasn't been seen by more people. I realize it's been awhile since you did this but just wanted to ask what exhaust is on the bike in this video? It makes a kind of boring sounding bike sound really good... very v-twin-ish!
Having ridden 700 and 750 (bought 750S) the latter is definitely worth the extra: smoother; more grunt; better seat; gear indicator; taller gears (especially first) meaning the rev limiter's a virtual non-issue. Any minor flaws on the original have been ironed out on the 750.

Apologies for the late reply, I don't log in that often lol. Probably too late now but it was a Yoshimura slip-on exhaust if I remember correctly.

Did you find the steering nicer on the X compared to the S? I just brought a NC750X as a first big and i am really enjoying it.
HJM1974 I loved the way they both handled, however would have gone for the X if it wasn't too tall for me. :o
So I guess, that would be a yes. :)
