thinking about it, the Hermits only way to get back to Hermitcraft is probably for them to build a new Grumbot on the Empires Server. That way the Grumbot can register their universe and open the portal again, just like the one in Hermitcraft.

By taking out so many hermits out of the equation, there are now much bigger chances for (and smaller resistance against) Mumbo becoming Mayor. All according to plan.
soon enough we will see some hermitcraft videos on the real server from the people who didnt use the rift, mumbo being one, talking about a sudden mayoral campaign. mumbo, who lost the last one, would definitely want a second chance. that is when grumbot prime comes into play, forcing mumbo to comply to every command

There's one more thing you missed. xbcrafted made a video where he effectively went through multiple different worlds using grumbot and the rift, giving pieces of paper with weird names that effectively made grumbot change the rifts to go to various worlds, showing that grumbot has direct influence over the rift.

He probably learned Scar won, but unlike whatever happened in Grumbot Prime's universe, didn't get mad about it and realized his creators didn't want to break his heart. Or... the fake reality Grian and Mumbo made helped Grumbot cope and inadvertently avoided Grumbot Prime's timeline.

Since the server diamonds went missing after the king ren battle and mumbo’s base is a vault where he said he would hide wealth that made him the richest hermit, and owning the servers diamond pool is the source of authority as discussed by bdubs, I think grumbot maybe be trying to use the taken diamonds to make mumbo both richest hermit and mayor while everyone is away on empires.
Theory Grumbot Prime says he is from a timeline were mumbo won ya? BUT in season 7 he was in a virtual reality were mumbo was mayor SO Grumbot Prime is just the original no timeline stuff needed (Btw your video is amazing)

I'm a little late to this but I think that Hermitcraft, now empty of most if not every Hermit (Xb was sent to another dimension and trapped there as well), Mumbo can become the president (when he gets back) because there will be no one who opposes him
i have a theory that sausage will get the trust of all gods and they will think that sausage betrayed them and the hatred will rise and cause of that hatred a demi god will consume that hatred hermise and then grumbot will somehow male contact with hermise and grumbot will come to empires and then gods will know that sausage did not betrayed them and all the hermits and emperors will combine forces and get that win and cure hermise and maybe grumbot

So it looks like that the Empires server is prone to be under attack that they are oblivious to, and the only way to stop Grumbot, is the Hermits. Since they are the only ones who have a better understanding of redstone technology.
