South-Africa should adopt Thai-Law... As A South-African living here in Thailand I fully understand why Thai Law is so well written to protect its citizens against these kinds of people who like to take advantage in countries that they do not originally come from.
These guys are so used to smuggling things in a way that they don't even know the rules and regulations of import and export, because if they were really used to this, they wouldn't be going through all this, it shows this is new to them, following rules is a new thing to them especially here in South Africa. The just couldn't wait for Ramaphosa to announce the good news for them. Our kids are dying and all they want is to dump their almost expiring good to SA. In their country they are fighting with shop owners who are selling food that is not original and expired food. I saw one video they were destroying all drinks that were made in back doors and then labeled as e.g. Coke or Fanta, Sprite etc., but they want to come and do that here. Was trying to share this link of that video but its refusing to share
Their arrogance is too much. Even NICASA said it. Education is important, they need to comply with the South African laws. Simple, they must follow rules and regulations procedures
My issue is...are they just starting this importation of goods. If yes, which Framework have they been using??? These culture of smuggling must come to an end. Why do they want to see the Commissioner of SARS. Corruption at the Port of entry is just too high. Durban Harbour has long been a problem.
I see these people running informal business. The SA govt will not confiscate such large consignment without valid reason. Reality is that over and above, the owners of the consignments themselves voice out their frustration that they do not know the import regulations of South Africa; something they should know in their capacity being merchants

No no no no how important are they to call the commissioner to come down to them? These people think they own south africa
Their arrogance is too much. Even NICASA said it. Education is important, they need to comply with the South African laws. Simple, they must follow rules and regulations procedures
Are they trying to tell us that our SARS officials are incompetent? Now they want to see the SARS Commissioner. Really?

We have food in SA send that back
They will bring drugs in the cane food
That is how drugs come into the country
That's why I always read the label of food and see where they were produced
I buy local always
They always claim that they do import and export business but they don’t know the basics
I see these people running informal business.
