    That would be amazing experience to cuddle a cow, they’d be so warm and welcoming. It’s sad to think after that experience she has a chance of going home to eat one. Humans are so disconnected to animals when they could be a friend like another person.

    It’s just like when people bring service animals to visit sick children in hospitals and the elderly. People have brought their lambs, dogs, cats, and ponies and it’s amazing watching how therapeutic it is for these people. It’s true! Just petting and cuddling for awhile brings so much joy to those who are sick and lonely.

    • @OfficiallyLydiasLife
      @OfficiallyLydiasLife 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This news station got the termonlogy very very wrong 🤦🏻‍♀️ A animal that goes to visit sick children would be a therapy animal. A Service animal can only be a Mini horse and a dog. They are task trained to help 1 person's debilitating disabilties. A Therapy animal is any animal. They help multiple people in tough situations like hospitals. They need prior approval to be there so they can be turned down. The news stations sadly always get these laws wrong and miss Educate then cause us Service dog handlers danger and issues when someone illigally brings a Emtonal support animal or therapy animal illigally in public 🤦🏻‍♀️ Yes they are all working animals, but Service animal and therapy animal and ESA are all very different.

    This right here amazes me. I hope everyone in this video and within the comments that love this don't consume dairy or any animal products. The dairy industry is the most violent industry on this planet.
    Such "omnivores" we are, looking for an animal for comfort and support. True omnivores wouldn't want to hug up and love a cow or any animal.
    What a way we pay these innocents beings back as well. Subjecting them to violence and cruelty. True happiness and peace starts on your plates. Leave animals off them. Show them true love by going vegan. Because you can't love someone will contributing to their violence.

    Many people don’t realize that an emotional support animal (ESA) and a service animal is different. One provides a medical intervention and is essential to the person’s safety and or wellness. ESAs don’t have the same protections under the law that service animals do (unless that has changed since getting my service dog). Still, as long as the animal is well-behaved, most places are not going to be opposed to having them. I see the biggest problem being is a person getting a vest for their animal to try to pass it off as a service animal when they haven’t gone through any training to become one. Additionally, the people that do this are not well-versed in the laws meant to protect service animals and their humans.

  • @crystalm4324
    @crystalm4324 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    How do these people get these designations?? How do you get a ‘team’ to get you a service animal with a vest??
    SERIOUSLY, I have PTSD and a physical disability that is slowly losing my ability walk and leaves me in constant pain - I can’t even get insurance to pay for a wheelchair!!?!? Let alone a freakin horse.
    It’s hard enough to get my doctors to look at all my injuries being interconnected! This guy only wants to look at this, this girl only deals with that, this person just deals with my well-being and doesn’t concern himself with my physical pain....🤯🤬
    Sigh

    • @crystalm4324

      Max Streim - I have been in line for soooo many things, I have filled out sooo very many papers that I now can barely fill out forms for my child’s class if they’re more than a few pages.
      I’ve had home care ‘assess’ my home to make changes to make things easier, but because I live in subsidized housing and am not living in a ‘wheelchair’ unit (I needed room for my daughters, those units are single bedrooms), changes such as railings are not permitted.
      I fall between cracks of WCB because my injury is old and degenerative. I also already fought 4 years to get a pension from them. My ‘original’ injury didn’t require a after surgery, (I was unable to sit for a year so
      I had to kneel on chairs and ride backwards on transport so the hip stayed lengthwise.) so the won’t provide one now.
      Now in order to get a ‘free’ wheelchair you have to have had either
      An accident - which means insurance (whatever kind you or the other person had) will pay for the chair, it’s never ‘free’.
      Or
      You were born with it. A whole different scenario.
      There’s Welfare - then you have access to free chairs at the cost of your financial privacy. They get a copy of your bank statements, they see what you put in and take out. You get a large gift from Grandma - that gets taken OFF your next cheque. So you actually get no further ahead.
      I used to run a business, own a beautiful home on an acreage, I draw the line at welfare ( Sorry, Social Assistance), I’d rather crawl.
      Church groups you say!
      I grew up in the Church, I went to private school, was even home schooled. Your jaw would drop at the number of tires and cars my dad has given to single mothers. The number of out of luck men my dad has housed and given jobs until they were on their feet.
      In fact I wouldn’t have been able to make it without the help from my mom.
      Anyway I haven’t had any help on that front other than my parents.
      The problem now is I’m so freakin tired of going through all the hoops, doing the dance and getting nothing. Now I just don’t. I don’t go out.
      I’m so very sick of fighting for scraps.

    ABC needs to get there facts right about service animals this is completely ridiculous, flirty is not a therapy horse! Flirty has been task trained to migrate her handlers disability so calling her a “therapy horse is disrespectful”. She is an inspiration to many handlers and people with or without service animals. Also when you explained the types of service animals “court house” dogs aren’t service dogs they are considered more of therapy dogs than anything and the puppies at 1:43 weren’t focused on the handler,pulling ahead, obviously not being trained and are afraid of the wheelchair so they are fakes. The reporting team knows nothing about service animals or the ADA and should have done there research before reporting on the topic

    • @oranjmusemeyer968

I would not want a horse in the middle of the aisle in the event of a water landing... everyone scrambling for the emergency exit climbing over a miniature horse that might also now be injured and panicking too boot... and do we now have to save the horse?
