    I'm looking forward to the 29th. I'm sure I'll be fine 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
The road looked like the pot holed UK roads on that rough bit😂
    Catch up soon👍😎

      Hi Steve.
Yes, that was the plan. To find a road here that was so bad that the folks in the UK would feel a bit better about the state of their own roads 😂
It took me three and a half years to find one, but I think it was worth it !
I've got the UK beers and milk in for next Thursday mate, so I'm all good to go 👍🏻
Take care until then and love to the crew !

Hi Hectorshouse, is Hector the fluffy pup in the picture ?
Thanks HH, yes, I think I did manage to get to the end of this road ( so over one hour ) without encountering another vehicle, so that was pretty good going, even for these parts.
I think we only encountered that one parked car on the LHS as we came out into the open, after the forest.
Glad you enjoyed the solitude. I can imagine that it's hard to come by in the UK these days !!!
Cheers HH. Ruby says hi to the pup in the picture ❤🐕

@@economicalrides hi Garry…Hectors House if from the kiddies program from the 60’s, though Hector was a dog. The dog you’re referring to in the picture is Dougie…he’s a 5 year old Cocker Spaniel and of course I love the little chap. I hope you and Ruby are very well…she looks a wonderful little friend, with the usual penchant for sausages…lol👍

    • @economicalrides
      @economicalrides  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@hectorshouse7348 Oh ! Well in that case Dougie is probably distantly related to Ruby. I think she has a fair bit of Cocker Spaniel in her, or certainly some sort of Spaniel. Nobody knows what she is. She says she's "Cute" and "deserving of 'sossidges'", which I suppose is all we really need to know 😂
Yes, Ruby loves her 'sossidges', basically all food with the exception of salad and fruit ( she really is so much like her Dad 😂)
I've never had a Spaniel before but they do seem to love cuddles and seem very eager to please. Ruby was also very easy to train.
Previously I had a Basset Hound and he liked to do his own thing ! He was lovely but he was a stubborn little sod !!!
Dougie looks lovely and I am sure that like Ruby, he is great company and very good at "looking after the house for Daddy" when he's out and about having fun !
Take care you two and thanks for introducing us to Dougie 🙂

I feel your pain about the bad road, you know why... Normal would be perfect for that (and the scram, now when I am thinking about it😀) ... Martin is very nice chap and with very nice channel. Many channels are too aggressive, I like the calmness and the UK lanes.

Well, when I saw this come up, I thought. Why not wait and watch this last thing with a glass of cider. and that's what I'm doing. I'll update this at the end...🙂 And, it was lovely great scenery and if it was me doing that ride, I'd be stopping to take photos every minute or so. Now, I'm hoping to meet Steve the day before, so I will try and plant ideas in his head on what to talk about...😉

      Hi Andy,
hmmmm.....a nice cold glass of cider sounds tempting right now !
Yes. It was a lovely ride, very nice change in the scenery and I was probably out at the right time to catch it at its best.
I will definitely do that ride again but certainly on Norman next time. The second part of that road was a bit much for the Meteor and for my spine. Norman will soak it up a lot better.
Are you meeting Steve on Sidwell Street, in the novelty adult costume shop ? That's usually where he arranges to meet people. Unlike SB73 who bizarrely likes to meet people at Tescos, by the bins 🤷‍♂ Anyway, wherever you're meeting up, have fun and I'll see you both next Thursday evening 👍🏻

Oh, it would be great if you could make the live show next week. I always enjoy reading your little comments in the chat, very funny 😂
Steve doesn't like spicy food and took some convincing to do the Hot Chip Challenge, so it will be interesting to see how he gets on.
I ate one again the other day and it didn't seem too bad. Maybe I am becoming immune to them 😝
Yes. I am hoping to meet up with Martin in October, I missed him by a day, when he tried to meet up last year. This year he has given me more notice, so we should be able to make it work and ride some of my local roads on our two Himalayans, you know, those bikes with the nice dashes 😉

Wow Garry - multi - mentions 🙏🙏. Ruby did extra well on this one as well. ❤️.
I really can't believe the contrasts in that road though... One thing struck me was the feeling of 'aloneness' you (we) experience on that ride. The views once again were spectacular weren't they despite having to keep Buddy from chucking you off. And we got to see deer. Brilliant. Many thanks. 'The Plywood Man' 😅

      Hi Mr Plywood 😝
You're welcome to the mentions Peter and I realise that I did inadvertently end up stealing your format for these videos 😇
Yes. It was a beautiful surprise to suddenly leave the forest and find myself confronted by highland plains. It was most unexpected and then further on I got some stunning views of the mountains below. That is definitely a road that I will ride again but almost certainly on Norman next time ( for the sake of my back ! ). I will also ensure that I ride it very early in the morning once again. More chance of meeting RE enthusiast deer at that time of the day, I imagine.

      Hi Ken !
No, you are right. That road would have been perfect for Norman too. Just maybe not so great for a cruiser with notoriously little rear suspension, like the Meteor 😂
I survived it ok on Buddy but next time I would definitely take Norman, for the sake of my spine ! If I go up there in the winter, I can even explore some of the dirt tracks that went off to the left and right. Could be a ton of fun. But maybe not on the Meteor 🙂

I've taken some time away from watching TH-cam, mainly because I've been busy with friends visiting, but also had a little holiday from consuming content. I have a big project at work as well currently, so that is eating into watch time sadly too... It is good to have a break from YT occasionally, is too easy to spend too long on it.

Hey ER; still love the meteor 350, its such a fun bike for so little money but having owned the 650 now for a month i cant go back, they are both such excellent bikes man tbh. Each has their charm, everything on the super is just a tad MORE of the meteor. you know? i absolutely loved the meteor for what is was, for the price!!! holy crap such an inredible bike for that price. But the super meteor gives me that extra umph for the big roads up here in belgium. hope you are doing fine, maybe i'll visit some day! kisses to el perra hermosa, you eternal belgian friend, hercule poirot. hehehe

Thanks BD. Yes, I remember driving on your brightly lit Belgian motorways when I lived in Germany. You certainly like street lighting, you Belgians 😁
I also experienced some rather erratic motorway driving around your cities, so can fully understand why you might prefer the power of the 650 ! It would be beneficial to have a bit more power in reserve to avoid any tricky situations with other vehicles 👍🏻
For the roads I ride, the Meteor is just about perfect and as you say, what a fantastic hobby / form of transport for the money !
Certainly let us know if you are going to be in this part of Spain BD, we'd be happy to try to meet up. Just go slow because I only have a 350 😂

Firstly a big thankyou for the channel plug in this one, that's very much appreciated, and seems to be having the desired effect.😎
These two videos, as with the rest, have served to very much whet my appetite for October (not that it was really needed in the first place!)
