Hi karina and jules i have a soft spot for coachman caravans and motorhomes they are expensive but i think they are quality and classy, not keen on the high beds i,d rather sacrifice the garage.
Hope your having a well earned rest after the show xx

Thank you for watching Julie, I like Coachman too, as for the beds, we have had the longitudinal beds before and went back to an island bed. Hopefully there will be an island bed model coming too, we will see. Have a great weekend. Im just about caught up after a great week at the NEC. 😊x

Very nice indeed. Love that the bed has the flexibility to be two singles or a queen. Really good layout and love the skylight too 👍

Thank you for watching Roy, yes, nice indeed, this motorhome will certainly appeal to those wanting a Coachman motorhome but not the size of the Travel Master. 😊

I have a question for all you experienced motorhomers. What layout would you go for in this scenario. My wife and I are in our 60’s and have a dog. I am considering buying a motorhome to travel the UK and abroad. I would like to take with us my mum sometimes. She is 84 so climbing up beds would not work. We would want privacy for night time. Which layout and suggestions would you advise. I want a vehicle that has plenty of power and great suspension and no rattles. My budget up to £130,000 new or pre loved. Thanks in advance. (Is this a tall order)

Thats a good question… you could either look at a four berth with island bed at the rear for your Mum and a drop down bed at the front you you and your wife. When Mum wasnt with you, you can use the rear island bed. An example of this would be an Adria Matrix DC or SC for example. Or, you could opt for a three berth and have beds at the rear and convert the front lounge in to a bed, an Adria Coral for example. I use these as examples only..most manufacturers offer these various layouts. Your budget would certainly you in to a nice European manufacturers model. It would depend how large you wanted to go but for three adults and a dog the 7.5 metres would be suitable. You would be best with a separate toilet and shower too, gives you more room in the bathroom generally. Power wise, you would be best with 160-180hp, or a Mercedes which may offer up to 190hp. To reduce rattles then air suspension is a good addition. My advice would be go to some of the larger dealerships who have a good level of stock and spend time getting a feel for the Motorhome. They all have a different feel. If you are considering using the bed in the lounge area ask the salesperson to demonstrate that so you can see how easy or difficult it is. Burstner, Hymer, Dethleffs, Carthago, Carado, Adria, Laika, there are plenty to look at. 😊

@@HereWeTow thanks for your advice. I have been watching your videos for sometime now and know you have had Adrian’s in caravans too. I was thinking Coachman Travel Master. Will the front lounge convert to a single bed do you think. That has separate shower and WC. Have you driven one. Love to see a review of that being driven.

@stevenchapman5620 Thank you for watching, the Travel Master is very solid, I haven’t driven one and have been hoping to try do some content with one for some time. As far as I know the drop down bed at the front is the only option and the seats do not convert to a bed. Again, go and have a look at one though, the internal space on these is huge due to their length, and plenty of floor space for your dog.

Even if I could get passed the price tag, I agree with you about the bathroom and it would put me off. Shame really with such a nice van.

As is typical of Coachman, the quality and overall design is good. I'm not so sure about the transverse bench seat in the lounge area and the table storage seems to protrude into where someone may wish to seat. The washroom is actually designed well with proper shower screens fitted and not a flimsy curtain. Actually, the compromise that I see is not that of the washroom but of the low step of the door. I understand that the idea is likely for ease of entry without the need of placing a step outside, but to me, it looks to be a tad too low. This has likely compromised the van itself. Its positioning almost centrally between the axles means that its break over angle has been severely compromised. An over aggressively built speed bump is likely to damage the bottom of the door in some extreme cases.Perhaps not a major concern for UK purchasers, but if anyone should take this to an area where there is deep snow (e.g. a ski resort on the continent), that low door is going to act as a snow plough. I tend to think that Coachman have created a different set of bigger problems by trying to solve a smaller one with that door positioning.

Thank you for watching, I agree about the screen as opposed to a curtain which sticks to you and is harder to wipe down and clean. I thought the step was low but these are based on the Kabe models from Sweden so I wonder how they get on. We do like our over excessive speed bumps here in the uk. You have raised some great points, thank you for taking the time to add a constructive comment. Have a good weekend. 😊
