Anyone who spends time in UK costal waters should make a contribution to the RNLI, I do. Unbelievable to think they’re a charity and most of the crew are volunteers. Hero’s all of em’.
@MichelleStaunton-ob3pj I am sure they are. It’s both stupid and sad. More people will die because of less funding. Or are we happy with that as long as we don’t get any more of “them” coming here and “taking our jobs”.
Total heroes the lot of you! Mad respect to all these heroes in the RNLI that put their lives on the line every day without a question asked and are fully prepared to give their lives so others may live. Huge salute to the RNLI!
Astonishing. That significant risk to rescuer shows how bad the conditions were. Glad the lady was pulled out: terrifying situation to be in. All involved in that rescue, tractor driver and boat, must get bravery awards. Proud to support the RNLI in the small way i can.
A brilliant show of seamanship, teamwork and courage. The UK should be proud of the RNLI men and Women, who are mostly volunteers and put their own lives at risk 24/7, 365 days a week Bravo to you all!!
Ireland too. The RNLI run our lifeboats also, in Northern and the Republic of Ireland . I live half a mile away from the lifeboat station in Dun Laoghaire Co.Dublin . All Irish and British crew deserve total respect.
This was a medal service. In fact, it was the first service in which the RNLI Silver Medal for Gallantry was awarded in a rescue undertaken by an Atlantic 85 Class lifeboat.
As a keen surfer and sailor I can say that it most certainly looked like a day you'd want to be tucked up in a warm pub with a nice pint . Fair play guys. Balls of steal . Amazing what you do to bring people back safe to their families. Massive respect.
I'm not a government basher, but every government in the last 60yrs at least, could have made the RNLI an official emergency service, with proper wages respecting the immense danger of the normal people they expect to volunteer their lives to save others in this way. Respect to all at the RNLI and we thank you profusely for your work.
The RNLI is a charity I never miss giving to. They shouldn't have to rely on donations, these selfless people deserve all the support that government can give them. Heroes, every single one of them.
It works fine just as it is. No unions to go on strike!. In Portugal and many other countries the firemen are volunteers and that always works brilliantly. Governments just mess things up!
So much respect for RNLI skill & bravery from a USCG volunteer Auxiliary Member. Very Bravo Zulu. Medals deserved by all, but not the reason why they do it.
All the way from the beaches of California we are all very proud of you! From one community of watermen to another! Amazing job guys! Massive aloha to all of you! 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Heroes undoubtedly...volunteers putting their lives at risk repeatedly for unknown others......Heroes hardly describes these people. Liked and subbed from Newfoundland...where we understand bravery on the water very well.
We go to TB most years and watched the new lifeboat launch a couple of years back, and a mock rescue. We got chatting to some of the crew - humble, quiet and unassuming men who were genuinely lovely. They let the kids sit in the lifeboat, including my granddaughter, and it made her day. I thanked them then for all they do then and I’m thanking them again now. Total respect.
I'm proud to be an RNLI Shoreline member and support the work these guys do. I don''t live near the sea and never needed their help.....but their bravery saves lives.
Im impressed by the crew, even coming back in the helmsman kept his cool, getting the boat back on the trailer and not just going flat out and beaching it! well done! a little donation coming your way again
Blah, blah, blah. Let's put an end to government agencies like this. If you're dumb enough to go surfing in a storm like this then your DNA should NOT be part of the gene pool.

@@stacyblaustein1228 Please get your facts straight. The RNLI is a charity and NOT a government agency. The crews are all volunteers - over 11000 of them at present. Any one who volunteers in any rescue service any where in the world is an unadulterated certified hero. You guys are no exception to that rule. Bloody well done.
I always watch you guys great job from Iran. I am so proud of you. Wish you all the best and success. Keep up the good job brothers. Love You from Iran.
From a 50yr old Aussie surfer/surf lifesaver who has done some board rescues in similar conditions. Job well done lads! That constant rigorous training served you well. Keep at it mates 😃
So impressive and again...team work extraordinaire as always. Bravo guys!! When purchasing real estate there's a saying that it's all about, "Location, location, location." When it comes to MSAR it's all about training, training and more training. It's clear RNLI has it down to a science. Well done and gold stars to the crew on board and supportive crew members all around.
I lived in Trearddur Bay for a while and saw these guys in action in rough seas a couple of times. I totally take my hat off to their courage and professionalism. They are brilliant !
She was really lucky that those four helms with all their experience, knowledge and skill stacked all the odds up, weighed them and came out on top of their game... Respect is such a small word to describe such a brave and daring feat.
As an ex member of C Flt who lived inT Bay I’d like to say we were always impressed with the professionalism demonstrated by the crews. Well done guys.
Great work chaps. Really appreciate the lengths you go to to provide reassurance for those who use the sea for whatever reason. I’ve made use of the sea for recreation since I was a teenager but I’ve always been conscious that for me to have an afternoon on a boat or surfboard potentially means another bloke or family man could be putting their life at risk for me. Thank you to all the teams around the coast of the UK. 👍🏽 greetings from Essex UK
Fantastic job with a great rescue in difficult conditions with a boat not designed primarily for surf rescue, in this instance I wonder if less crew on board would be best practice, I think three would have been enough, possibly even two. Class rescue by the RNLI.
Superb stuff guys and gals. As always. I'm completely certain no-one set out that day to be a casualty or in danger of death..... but human beings can all make mistakes at times. It's just brilliant that there was a brave station and boat crew on hand that day to prevent a mistake becoming a tragedy.
Amazing skill and bravery, lads. Selfless work that doesn’t get the recognition it deserves amongst the wider public although this video I hope will go some way to addressing that.
A incredible, the team saved a life had to make tough decisions an incredible show of seamanship, teamwork. You should be very proud of what the RNLI do which is to place their lives at risk for the good of someone in trouble. Amazing!
What a brave fantastic crew, like all RNLI around our coastline.Perhaps the surfers should apply to become crew if they need to go out in such bad weather conditions to prove something to someone!!!Godbless all crews I hope that I will never require your services👍👏

Well done lads, I'm in Cornwall so I know what a rough sea looks like, unfortunately people think they are invincible so Thank God we have brave people like you to go in where angels fear to tread ..Thank you all ☺
