    Hi guys, I have been struggling with the same problem since I started filming with the iPhone 14, but changing the color space manually in the "interpret footage" doesn't work, at least not for me. The footage looks better, but still not the same as when watching the video on the iPhone.
    What worked for me was: I imported the videos through my Mac's "Photos" App. Then once imported, I dragged them from this "Photos" App to a folder on my Mac.
    After that I imported the videos from that folder to Premiere Pro, and they look exactly as on my iPhone.
    It is a bit complicated, but it is the only solution I found.
    Hope it helps, wishing everyone a good day!

    Hello... This does not work for me. I have tried like 6 different approaches to fixing this, and nothing has worked including clicking the Auto Tone Map Media as suggested in this video.! What is going on with Premiere Pro??? The most owned and used camera in the world (iPhone) doesn't work with ADOBE. This is kinda crazy.

    What about the export settings? It’s looking good on the preview and export preview panel but once I exported it using h.264, the colors are still overexposed in QuickTime format

      Try looking at your color space. You can find color space on your clip by right clicking then properties. Then go to Sequence - sequence settings - working color space. Rec. 709 is ideal for most applications (IG etc)

    Still doesn't work for me either... It's mindblowing that Adobe can't find a way to fix this. I believe Premiere is becoming one of those huge chunks, heavy, obsolete, difficult to work with as updates takes way too long to happens because it's too complicated so it cannot keep up with the new tecnology anymore. Some of these updates takes years to appear and when they do they are either incomplete or require a third part plugin while free apps like Capcut are fixing it... These days since most of our work is for social media or youtube I'm using less and less Premiere, even when I edit on Premiere I either need to prepare or finish the video in another software, like in this case, this is nuts.

    • @JonrossSwaby
      @JonrossSwaby ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Might be because you created the sequence based on your footage settings, which automatically sets the color space to Rec. 2100 HLG. Open up your sequence settings, change the color space to Rec. 709, make sure "Auto Tone Map Media" is enabled and then that should fix it.

    For everyone saying it’s still blown out.
    I was frustrated too.
    So a couple steps were missed in this video.
    Go to sequence, make sure the box is checked AND make working color space set to Rec. 709
    THEN
    Go to interpret footage in your panel and change that to Rec. 709 as well.
    That should fix it

      @Cocinaughty 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@andrebendahan When the box is checked and the footage is interpreted as rec709 the footage should look desaturated in the preview panel as you're editing, but should look normal when you export. What happens when you export with those settings?

    • @andrebendahan
      @andrebendahan 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Cocinaughtythanks for the response! Exports look the same whether or not the box is checked as well. It’s actually just a little desaturated and a bit overexposed, so it is fixable with some coloring. Just wondering why checking off and on the box looks the same.

    Heyo!
    The solution that worked best for me:
    1. Import footage normally
    2. Place footage on a track
    3. Adjust sequence settings
    - Change "Working Color Space" to Rec. 709
    - Make sure "Auto Tone Media Map" is checked
    4. Interpret Footage
    - Right click clip in bin. Modify > Interpret Footage...
    - Very bottom, "Color Space Override" set to Rec. 709
    5. Export
    - I use HEVC (H.265)
    - Check "Render at Maximum Depth"
    and "Use Maximum render Quality"
    Everything looks great now.
    I wish Apple cared about customers as much as they do money.

I interpret the footage and the sequence settings auto tone map media is already selected and it is still terrible. Help!!!

    • @editorskeys
      @editorskeys  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, it might be because you created the sequence based on your footage settings, this will automatically sets the colour space to Rec.2100HLG. If you open up your sequence settings and change the colour space to Rec.709, make sure "Auto Tone Map Media" is enabled and then that should fix it. Hope this helps, seems like a lot of people keep having problems with this so we do apologise. Hopefully Adobe makes this a lot simpler to do and fix the problem !
