This song came out when I was in the midst of my drug addiction. I had just lost my kids and was on my way to prison. It helped me thru some dark times. I listen to it now and think about how bad life was, 15yrs later clean and sober.
There’s no way there’s people that actually hate Nickleback. They just do it because the internet just made it cool to do so. The vocals and music is great. When I’m feeling down it’s always nice to listen to and it makes me feel like everything’s gonna be alright

I've been going through a pretty bad time for what feels like forever. Today I woke up and thought of this song, thought it might help. The ending of this video caught me so off guard. It made me realize I really need to go to therapy for my Dad's extremely sudden death when I was young teen and how I almost lost my Mom in her grief for him. So, I guess it is finally time to uncork all that. Thank you Nickelback. I think I needed to see this somehow.

I heard this song again at a recent Nickelback concert. It was the first time I’d heard it in over a decade. The song definitely hits different now. I’m older, not just a kid. I’m a married man now. Our marriage isn’t perfect. It’s still relatively new and we don’t agree about everything. We probably fight more than average. I want nothing more than to reassure my wife that I will always provide for her and protect her to the best of my ability, no matter what. I know that sometimes I’m struggling to make ends meet and sometimes we fight about money. I know I’ve made mistakes. But at the end of the day, I also know that I love her and I’m always going to do whatever it takes to keep her. We will make it through this. Someday, somehow, I’m gonna make it alright. My dad listened to nickelback when i was a kid and have been a fan ever since. I have always publicly admitted my love for the band and their music. They made such great music
Always amazes me how Nicolas cage was able to manage both his acting responsibilities and being the lead singer of Nickelback. Particularly during the 2000s he was a busy man!
This song got me going through my rehab days..and kept me reminding of my life whenever I feel weak.
Nickelback was a mainstay of my burned CD lists back in the early 2000's. Vague memories came back to me as I rewatch this video almost 20 years later, not fully remembering how this story went. It immediately came rushing back to me as his milk footprints did not materialize, and it almost brought me to tears.

I have been listening to this song for years. But last month I lost my husband, and the songs videos, and the words took on a different meaning. It makes me think of him. I’m hoping James Jackson is holding me like the guy comforting his wife in the video.

People only hate Nickelback because it's popular on the internet and people love to follow the crowd. Everybody has a favorite Nickelback song.
Idk why people always say they hate nickleback. This has always been one of my favorite songs.

I saw Nickleback live in Manchester last night. Me and my friend arrived into the arena just as this song started. It gave me goosebumps. The song means so much to me as it reminds me of when i went into the care system when i was a boy and this song came out. Even though its clearly a song written about a romantic relationship it makes me think of my mum. It goes to show how powerful music can be ❤
