This guy is a Taekwondo black belt who retired from competitions to follow his baby dream, a huge fan of Jackie Chan movies who broke his leg to emulate him. Kwon looks like a big villain for this season end
His character really does bring that young Chozen vibe but 38 years later. It's also good too that Brandon himself is an actual martial arts practitioner much like Thomas Ian Griffith in his portrayal of Terry Silver.
Brandon’s a very skilled martial artist and a great actor. He will bring a lot to the role of Kwon. Anyone who’s seen the original trilogy can see the parallels of Kwon and Chozen so maybe after the series Kwon is redeemed and also learns the style of Myagi Do under Chozen in Okinawa after the series finale.
After what they showed of Kwon, if he doesn’t mop the floor with everyone at the Sekkai taikai, it’ll fell like plot armor for the main cast. The difference in experience, discipline & skill the fighters in Korea have doesn’t compare to the couple years our main cast have been training
Well Kreese said it himself its not the person with the greatest skill but the stringer heart…the person with the stongest will to win not the biggest ego.
@@mdub2000 someone can have all the heart they want, experience prevails. A basketball player who’s in college can have all the heart he wants, but you he isn’t going to beat LeBron in a 1v1
@@CobraKaiNation of course I enjoyed, you literally asked the exact questions I would've asked if I was there, I mean bro how can h be so perfect tbh. Also I think you look like Miguel 😭
My wish (I hope Brandon reads it): The career of Bruce Lee in Hollywood started as the bad guy "Winslow Wong" in _Marlowe_ (1969) with James Garner, and Jet Li's career in Hollywood started as the bad guy "Wah Sing-ku" in _Lethal Weapon 4_ (1998) with Mel Gibson. I wish Brandon s gonna have a career like Bruce and Jet (of course longer as Bruce since he died so young) and hope we gonna see much more of him in the future! He has amazing real life MA-skills and also the looks to be a hero in MA movies. Good luck!
@@CobraKaiNation Absolutely :)! I grew up with all these films in the 80s and 90s with Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Sammo Hung, Yuan Biao, of course also Van Damme, Seagal and Chuck Norris. But the Hong Kong cinema was special. And when I saw Brandon, he reminded me so much on these glory days! I hope so much he s gonna get cast as hero in such movies, he has the skill and the look. And his kicking skills remind me very much on Hwang Junglee, who was the villain in _Snake in the Eagele's Shadow_ and _Drunken Master_ , both movies from 1978. His nickname is "Silverfox" and "King of the leg fighters". He is Korean like Brandon.
I think it would be more realistic for our heroes from Miyago-Do/Eagle Fang to lose the Sekai Tekai. It's stupid that any of them, even Miguel or Hawk could beat this guy, and especially someone like Demetri. Plus it would be a call back to the very first Karate Kid movie, "win lose no matter". It's a referred tournament, so no is in danger of dying. I will be really upset if the kids from Miyagi-Do beat this guy.
@CobraKaiNation It's definitely fallen off quite a bit. This show used to be more grounded but it's lost its way ever since the end of Season Five. The stuff with Kreese has been OTT since Season Three but it really jumped the shark since his escape & into this silly stuff with the snake. Sadly, Cobra Kai has become a bit like a bad soap-opera. The new Cobra Kai characters were pretty good & Tory got given some pretty good stuff over these episodes, particularly in the finale episode, but nothing else was up to much. Season Four was excellent, even the first half of Season Five, but the standards have dropped. I hated how Season Five ended, it was all fan-service & rushing to conclude the best aspect of the show which was Silver trying to take over the valley. These few episodes feel like the show stumbling to the finish line rather than going out flying high. Creating a new backstory for Miyagi Do, the college stuff, the usual in-house bickering - all felt like boring filler to pad out the season. It'll probably be a pretty good Part 2 as it'll all be focused on the tournament but these were some pretty subpar episodes barring, as I say, the 5th episode.
@@CobraKaiNation The show has lost it's way. That season 5 ending basically was so silly and absurd, that it destroyed the show. Too many characters jumping dojo's, too many storylines. You just sit there and watch but the only thing that was exciting was Tory re-joining kai at the end. Btw, Silver was the best character till they ruined him.
@apocalypsenow317 💯. Some people, probably most people infact, because they are fans, will like whatever is served up. Which is fine, people can watch what they want. But nobody can tell me the show is of the quality it once was. It simply isn't.
