You guys have a lot of knowledge.. and do pretty good videos. But the presentation is just so scattered. You go into ankle mobility before you even demonstrate what it is your talking about. 1. Demonstrate the movement, full speed and if possible in slow motion. Show the end goal, where are we going, what are we trying to accomplish? 2. Break it down to components, with some logical flow (macro to micro, bottom to top, whatever). 3. Put the components together to build the movement you demonstrated in (1). 4. Analyze typical flaws, mistakes, things to watch for and ways to adjust. 5. Perform the final movement again, full speed. In short, 1) tell me what you're going to tell me, 2) tell me, 3) tell me what you told just me. Thanks.
Best time: 4:33, which was my second attempt. Shaved 2mins off my previous with pure ignorance on the thrusters. Dont. Drop. The. Bar. Age 24. Crossfit experience: 1 year. 168 lb BW
When I do thrusters and front squats I have a lot of pain in my wrists. This can be corrected on front squats by using the cross arm form but that isn't an option for thrusters. Do you have any advice for holding the bar or other adjustments to help with the wrist bending back.
I remember when a friend had me do this in the gym on my first try, i did it in like 12 minutes with just the bar alone LOL! and 2:15 minutes is the ideal time for the guys lol!
I did 13mins with 95 lbs on the bar and deadhang pull ups. (Not gonna lie I did kip on a few, but I don't know how to kip right so I just kinda did them lol) But my first Fran was a disaster! I didn't even finish and I did it with 95 lbs oh it was terrible. My friends made fun of me for a long time after that.
Thanks guys. After following your advice I managed to get my rxd Fran time down from 8:56 to 5:13 in 4 weeks. Please keep up these technique WODs. :-)

Thank you very much !!! great advice !
So how do you get the shoulder mobility to be able to lock out over head without overextending low back

jason khalipa did better. in less than 2mins
Serious question, why isn't Fran done strict first as priority? Kipping/butterfly isn't really impressive in the least
David Varner because strict are too easy to do...that's why.
LOL
I wish he could stand still while he talks
THE BEARD IS HALF GONE :o
