Powering the Dinosaur (Hitachi VT-6500A)

So this is me attempting to get the VCR for the Hitachi VK-800 camcorder to work. Well it kinda works.

I have the RCA-rebadged version of this (VFP-170), plus the tuner/clock. No camera, though. I just replaced the quite-disintegrated belts (fingertips are still stained black) and it actually plays VHS tapes really well for a 2-head. Hitachi sure knew how to build things to last.
