Finally, a space that isn't white or beige and no plywood. The functional kitchen and bathroom and lively terrazzo could be a backdrop for any style. I do love seeing such a colorful and artistic space.

I love how most of the quirky and fun touch done to the space referring to a ton of culture icons, makes the design meaningful and thoughtful. Salute to the owner for having unique taste 👍🏼
This apartment is excellently designed! It's so very well balanced!!! Most fail at this type of design because they overdo it. This designer shows his mastery of design with this wonderful place of art!

the level of 'publicness' is incredible to be achieved in a small apartment like this. The living room is like a gallery, everything is nicely arranged at its best position to be admired; so little space in the closet; And the bathroom! almost felt like walked into a toilet of a restaurant or bar. It's really bold, not just the colors, but the series of decision making of what kind of space you want to live in.
Woah, I actually consider this place to be minimalistic but just that the aesthetics are avant guarde. lol. I think if you took away the color and made the strange shapes more linear, you'd see it was still a minimalistic design

Love the bathroom. Storing, washing and changing out of clothes to shower .. all close together... So sensible. The space is a great canvas and the designer has outfitted it so brilliantly to match their style. It's inspiring. To see someone activate the space with such care and creativity.
I do love everything about this.. i m only a little worried if storing the clothes in the shower area would get them damp and mouldy after a while, i would imagine, since i didnt see any windows there that could at least rid the space of some of the humidity. how did you solve this or is this at all an issue? maybe the cupboard doors are enough to prevent this, intuitivly i would say it won t , but maybe i wrong, and it works fine.. in that case, i really think its a very brilliant choice, does anyone have experience with textiles in a wetroom after some time? i really enjoy the quirkiness, the crazy colors and the 3d printed little handles and legs.. i m very surprised what a strong effect those have on the whole room. these alone would make it already very unique and then all of these artpieces arranged together.. its a feast for my eyes. thank you for sharing.
OK so the walls are not quite white but light gray, not such a radical change you may say, but ... look how this space has been decorated, it is full FULL of personality. You may like it you may not, but you cannot forget it ! How delightfully fresh it is to see someone that is not afraid to come out from under thier white blanket and show Character !!!!!!!!!!!! Well Done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, what a wonderfully happy environment to live in - it’s fabulous 😍. And it’s so functional, too. The pops of colour and fun shapes in the bathroom work beautifully to mitigate the grey, hard tiling. The sofas in the sitting area are big and squishy and the kitchen has plenty of workable space. I would love to live there!

Wow, I love it when adults don't lose their sense of playfulness, so rare these days! It's like he walked into a parallel universe when he enter the apartment especially from a very mundane building stairway. I mean Nintendo must pay you for that effort :) I was secretly waiting for a gaming space but the only thing I would criticize is having no sink near the toilet. This makes a heavenly kids room concept as well. Would love to see behind the scenes NTS series. Also good job on the guides aesthetic!
Not my style, but really a bright, airy, happy and "smiling" space. Nice work and clearly totally personalized. I love the staircase that wraps around the side of the kitchen, the seamless floor/wall terrazzo work and I love the functional spacious bathroom.

@@tovep9573 I’m not sure why but since heritage listed buildings even have very strict building codes that make it impossible to add extra toilets, i could imagine that it used to be because of hygiene and now it just stayed like that? 🤔 but this is just me guessing 😂
@@Nini00000 Yes but we have heritage buildings in other countries as well. And today there are toilets where the water from the washbasin feeds into the tank for the toilet. I just cannot imagine touching handles and other stuff on my way to the kitchen or bathroom sink after visiting the toilet. Or even worse - people not washing their hands.
I can understand having a separate room for the toilet, but without a sink is unhygienic. It would be better if the door to the water closet opened up into the bathroom (there is a blank wall there now)

Good you’re showing an home that isn’t white walls with birch wood throughout and a monstera in the corner. I wish terrazzo was more commonly used. It adds a touch of color and texture. Easy to clean and it can be seamless. I do love the coffee table he made.

Probably one of my favorite NTS projects :) definitely not kitschy like him, but definitely inspired to think outside the box :) there are more ways to approach space design by exploring diff material combinations and color options for accessories like cabinet handles and curtains!
I get why there are so many dislikes, this guy took his vision too far but I have to say I personally love every single detail he put there, this is my favorite apartment from the whole collection that NTS has posted, I love when people go all the way with their ideas in every aspect of art, no matter if it's music, illustration, movies, industrial design, I love character and this guy nailed that
That's a great space he's created, real chunky sofas, a usable TV position, a kitchen you can use. A bed you don't have to clamber over furniture to ise. Personally the decor isn't to my taste but the couple are artistic so it's par for the course. The square meterage was generous too, a rare find. Cheers DougT 🇫🇴

this is actually a cultural thing. It is very common in France, especially Parisian apartments, to not have any sink in the toilet.
