Here’s a tip about the robots you find. They’re wulfrum robots and they spawn everywhere on land. They’re like the Calamity version of slimes. There are 5 different types of them and they drop materials used to make the worst gear in the game. But in your case, really good weapons to start out with.
Rage: damage boost Adrenaline: either reduce damage taken or a damage boost Using both for a damage boost at the same time significantly increases the effect for I believe up to 300% extra damage. If you haven't, you should get a mod called "Magic Storage". It's a mod that adds in a compact storage system that requires diamonds to use properly. It needs at least 1 storage heart, and 1 storage unit, but you should add in a crafting interface for more compact storage.
Killing a Hive Tumor at the start of the game is part of the experience of your first playthrough, everyone has done it don't worry. People already mentioned you should make the Wulfrum equipment (you should definitely check out the Wulfrum armor, the set bonus is extremely cool) and the Victide equipment now that you beat Desert Scourge (made with the sea remains) and that your made the world without the mod so you'll be missing a lot of things so I'll skip that. One common misconception is usually that calamity is the hardest thing you'll ever play. It really isn't for the most part except for a few endgame bosses or if you play on Infernum mode so you don't really have much to worry about, a pre-hardmode calamity boss isn't going to be as strong as the Moon Lord or something absurd like that. The Cnidrion is just an uncommon enemy that spawns in the desert. The Toxic Downpour message means there's a new event with multiple tiers going on in one of the new biomes, tier 1 is unlocked after beating Eye of Cthulhu.
The sea surely does have usefull stuff (especially on the right side of your world) however you get that great stuff without fishing, i personally didnt fish much (except grinding stuff for Terraspark boots) and you should just explore more since calamity mod adds so much new structures and 5 biomes, thats a lot for you to explore for sure
I have bad news for you, you probably created the world before adding Calamity mod so there are no new biomes and structures in the world. just to be sure see the second ocean if it is unchanged it means you won't be able to beat Calamity mod.
Correct! I realized this while trying to record episode 4 and I was wondering if anyone was gonna notice. I fixed this in my own time so it’ll all be good for the rest of the series =)
I’ll reveal this in the next episode. But since you asked I’ll tell you: I made a new world with the same seed and rebuilt everything I made already. Plus I beat all the bosses I did already. Actually wasn’t as bad as it sounds!
