    Beautiful stitch. Now I have to switch my hook for some needles. Actually crocheting while listening to this.

    Thank you. I am trying to make a granny square afghan out of different knitted squares. You just gave me my second square. My first square is a dish cloth (Grandma's favorite dish cloth). I have made about 15 of them. Not sure how I am going to put them together yet but I am thinking about it. Thanks again for all your hard work teaching us and keeping us informed about things. I really enjoy your videos. Hugs

    Love this..knitting is my jam too 🤗🤗🥰 yes add a garter stitch border on sides at least, making a cowl so will stitch the beginning and ending edges,

    Hey Craig. Gorgeous stitch. It may have a crochet look to it when viewed in a different way. Being that I favor fingering/sock weight yarn to others, I can see the pattern knitted in some cotton fingering to knit some tea towels for the afternoon gathering with the fellas. A larger square piece for those warm oven toasted scones. A little Baileys Irish Cream and some Emily. Ken

      A lace tip has a finer, more elongated tip. A regular knitting needle is like knitting with two wooden dowels. IMHO.

    Love seeing the lace tip needles. When I picked up my last set of lace tips, I mentioned to the shop owner how much I loved them. The shop owner chuckled and said that she found out that she is grabbing those now and finding after so many years in her knitting experience, that she really prefers them to the regular tips too. She said it almost sheepishly, but the grin on her face tells me that I’ve made another convert to lace tip needles.
    It’s like finally having complete control in your knitting! Will try this new pattern, even though I’m really happy knitting knit, turn and knit some more. My history with knitting is really a newbie status, but that’s ok with myself. I’m happy and knit in hubby’s little bouncy, jarring ride truck.

      I'm still an absolute newbie. I'm only on my 4th knit project now. What is a lace tip vs. a regular tip?

    • @Caitja
      @Caitja 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A lace tip has a finer, more elongated tip. Easier to get into the yarn to make an entry under the yarn. Regular knitting needles are like knotting with two wooden dowels. IMHO.

    ty fiber spider came bk over this, n I was stuck on a pattern, even though you say this for a scarf, I'm usithis pattern for either a dress, or cape/shawl and taking your advice ok f garter few rows before start n end and garter stitching the first 3n last 3 stitches.
