This was great! Educational, entertaining and straight to the point. I also like how took the time to ensure we could read the screen on the TPMS4 machine.
You can actually put the Equinox in relearn mode without using a scan tool in most cases. After scrolling through the Info menu to the Tire Pressure display, press and hold the Select (check mark) button on the steering wheel DIC controls until the horn honks twice. Other than that, good job on the TPMS repair.
Very informative Im currently having this same problem that’s why I typed it in to TH-cam. Im in Texas how much should a shop charge my to replace the sensor? I buying the sensor myself does it have to be the OEM or can it be a cheaper version?
You can buy aftermarket they will work. I think 0.5 to 1 hour to install and program the sensor. I recommend a Schrader 33500 for any aftermarket alternative, but you need to confirm it compatible with your exact vehicle. Thanks for watching.
Guess I'm new to this. This is a Bluetooth system in the tire or is the sensor incorporated in the valve that's in the wheel & not the actual tire. This is a valid question.
Literally same issue just popped up on my 2017 Equinox. I already know the sensor is in the wrong spot though. Just because of losing pressure and the wrong tire being noted.

Same problem with my 2018 Chevy equinox. Great educational, but I didn’t see where the sensor has to be attached at ?

They use UHF radio frequency.

Same problem with my 2019. Can I drive it like this 30mls to get it to the dealership?
Make sure your tires have the proper amount of air pressure and tire tread and structure have not failed.
What is the cost to get this work done? I have the same problem on my 2018 Chevy Equinox
About $125 parts and labor.
How much does it cost to replace the sensor
Thanks for watching.
So without that Snapon unit, we cant do this ourselves???
YES
You did NOT show replacing the sensor-missed a good opportunity...
Thanks for watching.
I agree- would have been a great learning opportunity to see sensor replaced
Thank you
You're welcome
