    This is CRAZY!!! I can't believe how real this looks! I know this video is 5 years old but WOW! I learned so much. Thanks for the great explanation and tutorial

    Stumbled on this by accident. I'm now subscribed. I build display dioramas as a hobby and this technique will transfer over so well. No more hours upon hours spent hand painting layer upon layer to create the same effect and then waiting an age for the varnish topcoats to dry.
    This is so much quicker and just as realistic. Amazing tutorial.

    Wow! What an awesome technique to make a tile floor. It looks amazing and can totally be personalized. I will definitely be using this method to create a tile floor for one of my projects. :)

    Hi, just wondered if you noticed the rubber cement yellowing over the past four years? I used it frequently in art school and everything did yellow over time.

    Ive found that rubber cement yellows really badly over time, does the Plexiglass protect against this? Looks great!

    What scale did the tiles end of being?

    • @LittleStructures

      They’re about 2” or 2 feet at 1/12 scale.

    I just used mat board for my floors, but I am finding that it warps a little. Do you have any tips on how to keep this from happening? Thanks!

    • @LittleStructures
      @LittleStructures  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hmmm, it could be the weight of the mat board isn't thick enough. Or possibly the mat board isn't suited for wet medium like glue. I typically use Canson board rated for wet media like watercolor or acrylic paint. A little bowing is likely typical during glueing but if you're gluing the board to the dollhouse floor, that bowing should flatten out. If you see the board is bowing while the glue is wet you can put something heavy and evenly weighted across the board to keep it flat while the glue dries. Hope that's helpful!

    Girl, I would literally pay you to make this for me. I have the same doll house. I would love to have this in my bathroom and kitchen. I think I'm not going to have any walls downstairs and do a open floor plan. Not sure yet. If your interested in making this again and selling it please let me know. I'm building for my lil girl. 🙂

      Which brand and model of dollhouse is this? I've asked but she never says, and I haven't seen enough of it to be able to guess
