Street and Nye mountains in the Adirondacks…#2 and #3 for the 46er challenge!

For our #2 and #3 of the 46er challenge we chose to do street and Nye.
Street is 31 on the list at 4166 feet above sea level and nye is number 45 on the list at 3895. In 1927 it was determined that there were 46 high peaks in the Adirondack mountains that were 4,000 feet above sea level. It was later determined that 4 of the peaks actually did not meet that requirement. Nye is one of those peaks, but in order to become a 46er you must hike to the summit of Nye.
Our day was supposed to be sunny but like many Adirondack days the weather changed and it was complete fog. The trails were full of mud and water because it had rained the past few days. We did not get any views from either summit which was a total bummer, however the views from Street and Nye are not as good as most of the other 46 summits. Anyways it was a win for us, it was a total of 9.57 miles with over 2600 feet in elevation, and it took us 7 hours and 45 minutes. Enjoy the video!
