- Here is my visit to Coniston Hall Campsite where I give you a campsite tour and review of the facilities they have to offer.
I also visit The awesome Dubbed Out HQ to chat with the organisers Neil and Germain about next month up and coming Dubbed Out Festival.

We stayed here as a couple in our 20's before kids and it was perfect for the age. Great for the lake access and walks. I returned in my 40's and found that its an age thing and no longer suited. I'd never take my kids there as it's too crazy, lots of large groups, big fires, loud music, drinking early and lots of mess just left by campers and very, very full! Tent ropes cross each other in some cases so getting out to the toilet will involve a few falls and some hurled abuse. If you're young and want a bit of a party and good drink up, then this is perfect, if you want to take the kids and want get them to sleep, or want an early night to hit the fells early in the morning, good luck! Its a young persons site who like a late nights, big fires and a party. It is what it is and will always be Coniston hall.
Yay, we’re famous. You caught us and our two dachshunds on camera at 11:36 walking back to the Caravan Club site in the woods behind. Would have come across and said hello but didn’t want to interrupt. Some cracking weather.
Great video as always, i do love the outakes. Big respect for not spilling your beer when you fell off your chair (thats a skill ive mastered too...beer's lives matter 🍺😁). I love watching Steve Wallis, I couldn't be bothered doing half of what he does but it does make great viewing 🙂.

ive only been part of the whole dub scene since march and probably wont be ready for this years festival but cant wait to get to the next one.

It’s a decent campsite. Busy at the weekend and bank holidays. Great if you like getting in the water. It can be a bit rowdy but that’s people for you I suppose when they’ve had a few ales. Camping is for everyone and with everyone brings all walks of life. ✌🏻
Definitely, I had a great time there and the added bonus of the water too! Happy days

Great vlog Colin. Ive been a few times as we live localish, erm yeah it can get a bit lively at weekends and stuff. But generally the further in you go thats where it gets noisy. We generally don't go further than the toilet block and had no bother. Think you were about 100yds or so past that judging where the swing is. I wouldnt go much farther than there. Btw the pizzas are 👌
We stayed at the camc next door last month and walked through this site on a Sunday afternoon. It was like a bomb site with rubbish and abandoned tents all over including the lakeside which spoiled things a bit. Also open drug taking by at least one group that were still camped out. Plenty of people queue up the road to get in on a weekend but not my cup of tea this one, more of a festival type of site I think.
Yep, I have been told by quite a few people that it can be like Sparta on weekends and holidays 😂😂... Definitely not everyone's cup of tea! I've stayed next door too, lovely site...

Probably give this one a miss just because we prefer things a bit quieter, shame as the setting looks good.
Just bought a paddle board (not kayak) so looking for lakeside stuff now 👍🏻

Think I would go to Coniston Park Coppice Club Campsite next door again. Can’t get as close to the lake but better facilities and ehu.

@@Yorkshirepoptopadventures I need to find somewhere quiet and basic for me and little man for the school holidays. I try and book smaller sites now because we used to book places with more facilities and found we never used them because they were full of groups of loud teenagers. We'll probably wind up going back to fieldhouse in the wolds.
Yep, I much prefer the quieter more rural sites... There are loads of little gems, even one I go to that I never vlog, it's my secret chill zone!

Ah I know, there are so many festivals at this time of year but as a wedding photographer most of my jobs are at weekends and this is a super busy time for me sadly...
I'm not a massive fan of festivals (I'll do a few) as I do like my peace and quiet 🤣🤣! So I'm only doing one this year. Maybe next year I'll do more, who knows 🤣🤣

Just returned from Coniston Coppice weekend of 24/25 June. Walked through Coniston Hall site to Coniston. The site was absolutely mobbed with people crammed in everywhere. Reminded me of people crammed on a busy Spanish beach in the height of summer. Loud music from Coniston Hall site could be heard from Coniston Coppice on the Saturday night. Fine if you don’t mind that type of thing but definitely not the place to stay if you’re after a quiet weekend. People appeared to have pitched up wherever they felt like it although most had left by the Sunday night. I’ve never seen another site like it.

Biggest shithole of a campsite I’ve ever seen in my life. You were lucky it was fairly quiet. Try it on a busy weekend and it’s like hell on earth. As for the owners cash only tax avoidance scammers.
